**What awaits you:**
* Contribution in development and on time delivery of fuel, battery, SCR and other mechatronic systems
* Proactively create and change CAD 3D data
* Perform ongoing vehicle package clearance analysis
* Take responsibility for creation, review with drawing checker and change of drawings
o Apply Kautex and customer requirements to drawings
o Implement standard KICs on Kautex drawings and check
applicability
o Be responsible for the datum system \(request confirmation
from gauge supplier, quality, plant, manufacturing, PDT
\(product development team\)\)
* Understanding and applying customer OEM standards
* Application of Kautex guidelines, GD&T concepts and standards and components
* Data management in PLM system
* Data management in customer database
* Maintain Kautex Standard Check Lists
* Actively participate in Design and Drawing Reviews
* Perform SDL \(Simulation in the Design Loop\) FEA simulations between design loops
* Support creation/ improvement of standards and guidelines and best practices
* Regular business trips to manufacturing locations to understand production process
* Follow Kautex Data Transfer guidelines \(i\.e\. with DDX Trufusion\)
* Release of CAD data into customer database, if necessary
* Application of VAVE \(Value Analysis, Value Engineering\) process during development of Kautex products
**Qualifications**
**What you'll need to succeed:**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electronical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable education
* At least 3 years of experience as a design engineer for the automotive industry
* Strong experience in a professional 3D CAD system \(ideally CATIA V5 or Unigraphics NX\) or comparable engineering experience
* International experience by studying or working in foreign countries is a plus
* Plastics design and process knowledge is a strong plus

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Work closely with the customer to identify new business opportunities enabled by Oracle technology.
+ Act as a trusted advisor and consultative partner to the client team.

**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled **Product Development - Hydraulics Braided Hose Design Engineer** to join our Fluid Handling Solutions team in Aguascalientes, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for the **design, development, and industrialization of high‑pressure braided hydraulic hoses** , ensuring that hose construction, materials, processes, and fittings are translated into robust product performance that meets customer and industry requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead the **design and development of braided hydraulic hoses** , including reinforcement architecture, layer construction, and dimensional definition
+ Apply **braided hose design principles** to meet pressure, impulse, fatigue, and durability requirements
+ Develop braided hose designs to balance **mechanical performance, flexibility, and robustness** , while considering operating conditions, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards
+ Translate braided hose **design concepts into industrialized solutions** , ensuring manufacturability and process robustness for series manufacturing
+ Define and evaluate **material selections** (rubber compounds, braided reinforcements, wire, covers) and their influence on **process capability and product performance**
+ Interpret **FEA simulations** to support hose design and correlate simulation results with physical testing
+ Create and maintain **basic CAD designs** for hoses and fittings, including interfaces and assembly considerations that influence system performance
+ Collaborate closely with manufacturing, process engineering, testing, and quality teams to ensure smooth **design-to-production transfer**
+ Translate hose design, manufacturing processes, and fitting concepts into **clear performance characteristics** , such as pressure rating, impulse life, flexibility, and durability
+ Support product validation through testing analysis, failure investigations, and design optimization
+ Support verification and validation activities, including test definition, problem solving, and design optimization for continuous improvement
+ Develop and maintain technical documentation, including **design guidelines, specifications, and technical reports**
+ Ensure compliance with applicable **industry standards and customer requirements** for hydraulic braided hose products
+ Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and production teams during **industrialization and series production**
+ Provide technical support for braided hose process adaptation and ramp-up
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
+ **5 years or more of experience in hydraulic braided hose design and development and/or braided hose processes**
+ Strong understanding of **braided reinforcement design principles** and high-pressure hydraulic hose performance
+ Experience translating hose designs into **industrialized manufacturing solutions**
+ Solid understanding of **material behavior** and its influence on hose processing and performance
+ Experience in interpreting **FEA simulation results** to support hydraulic hose design decisions and correlate simulations with physical testing
+ Basic proficiency in **CAD design for hoses and fittings**
+ Knowledge of **hydraulic hose standards, testing methods, and performance requirements**
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a **structured, detail-oriented approach**
+ Ability to work effectively in **cross-functional, international development teams**
