The Data Quality Analyst 2 is responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of Data Quality processes. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to improvement and performance activities by providing measurement, evaluation, and assessment services relating to Data Quality and data production.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Accountable for monitoring, assessing, analysing, and/or evaluating processes and data to ensure their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
+ Interprets data and makes recommendations
+ Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices
+ Present information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity
+ Report Data Quality defects through the Data Concern Remediation Management process
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency
**Qualifications:**
+ 0-2 years of relevant experience
+ Experience with basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Working knowledge of Collibra and other Data Governance industry standard tools
+ Intermediate proficiency in System Query Language (SQL)
+ Working knowledge of Tableau (report consumer, developer, etc.)
+ Demonstrated understanding of Database structures
+ Working knowledge of industry practice and standards

**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Data Steward** to drive the execution of enterprise data governance and data quality initiatives. This role operates as an **independent contributor** , responsible for ensuring that data assets are trusted, well-governed, and accessible across the organization.
The Data Steward will **own the governance, lineage, and quality of data assets across the full data lifecycle-from ERP source systems through RAW, consumable, and KPI layers** . Leveraging **data.world** as the enterprise data catalog, this role will ensure strong metadata management, lineage transparency, and data discoverability.
A key focus of this role is to **establish a consistent,** **trusted semantic layer that supports analytics and AI use cases** , ensuring data is clearly defined, standardized, and ready for downstream consumption. The role requires a balance of governance expertise and **hands-on technical capability (SQL and Python)** to validate data, enforce quality, and support metadata and lineage automation.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Data Governance, Lineage & Stewardship**
+ **Own and manage end-to-end data lineage** from **ERP → RAW → consumable → KPI layers** , ensuring traceability, transparency, and alignment with governance standards.
+ Maintain and curate data assets within **data.world** , ensuring datasets are accurately classified, documented, and contextually enriched.
+ **Define, implement, and enforce metadata standards** , including business definitions, lineage, and transformation logic across the data pipeline.
+ Partner with business and technical stakeholders to **identify and steward critical data elements (CDEs)** across all layers.
+ Establish and standardize **business definitions, metrics, and KPIs** , contributing to a governed **semantic layer for analytics and AI** .
+ Improve **data discoverability, lineage visibility, and contextual clarity** to enable trusted data usage.
**Data Quality Management (End-to-End Pipeline)**
+ **Own data quality across the full data pipeline (ERP → RAW → consumable → KPI)** , ensuring consistency, accuracy, and completeness at each stage.
+ Develop and maintain **data quality rules, validations, controls, and scorecards** , aligned to transformation layers.
+ Utilize **SQL and Python scripting** to perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
+ **Identify, analyze, and lead resolution of data quality issues** , performing root cause analysis across upstream and downstream systems.
+ Collaborate with engineering and business teams to **validate transformation logic and ensure reliability of KPI outputs and AI datasets** .
+ Establish **proactive monitoring and automated checks** to detect and prevent data defects early in the pipeline.
**Data Catalog & Metadata Enablement (data.world)**
+ Serve as a **primary steward of the data.world platform** , ensuring high-quality metadata, lineage mapping, and usability of cataloged assets.
+ Document and maintain **end-to-end lineage relationships within data.world** , connecting ERP sources to downstream datasets and KPI layers.
+ Leverage **data.world APIs and integrations** to support **automation of metadata ingestion, lineage updates, and catalog curation** .
+ Enable **semantic consistency within the data catalog** , ensuring alignment between technical data and business meaning.
+ Drive **adoption of data.world** by enabling self-service data discovery and trusted data usage.
+ Provide **training, guidance, and support** to stakeholders on catalog usage, lineage interpretation, and governance best practices.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence**
+ Collaborate with business, analytics, data engineering, and AI/ML teams to **align data definitions, transformations, and KPI logic** .
+ Translate business requirements into **governed data models, semantic definitions, and quality controls** .
+ Work independently while influencing stakeholders to **adopt standardized definitions, governance practices, and trusted data sources** .
+ Apply **analytical thinking and domain expertise** to resolve inconsistencies and improve data processes.
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of **data flows, lineage, semantic definitions, and governance controls** .

**Preferred Experience**
+ Hands-on experience with **data.world** or similar modern data catalog platforms.
+ Strong understanding of **data governance frameworks** (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
+ Experience managing **data lineage and quality across multi-layered architectures** (ERP, data lakes, transformation layers, KPI/reporting).

As a Data Engineer, you will build, maintain, and support data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions for Corning's manufacturing and operational environments.

The Safety and Customer Care (SCC) team at Lyft manages over 1.7 million monthly human and AI interactions and serves as Lyft's primary direct touchpoint with riders and drivers. As a Data Engineer on the SCC team, you will have ownership over the data modeling and pipelines that power SCC's Associate and AI Agent Platform . Your efforts will be critical to the reliability of our pipelines, execution of third party data integrations, accurate reporting of agents performance, and efficiency improvements that can save millions of dollars / year. You will work cross-functionally to bridge Lyft's business goals with data engineering. Your efforts will allow access to business and user behavior insights, using huge amounts of Lyft data to fuel several teams such as Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, and many others.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Owner of the core data pipeline, responsible for scaling up data processing flow to meet the rapid data growth at Lyft
+ Evolve data model and data schema based on business and engineering needs
+ Implement systems tracking data quality and consistency
+ Develop tools supporting self-service data pipeline management (ETL)
+ SQL and MapReduce job tuning to improve data processing performance
+ Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
+ Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science, and marketing teams to understand business problems and align on prioritization and solutions
**Experience:**
+ 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering, ideally with large-scale distributed systems.
+ Strong experience with Spark
+ Experience with Hadoop (or similar) Ecosystem, S3, DynamoDB, MapReduce, Yarn, HDFS, Hive, Spark, Presto, Pig, HBase, Parquet
+ Strong skills in a scripting language (Python, Go)
+ Good understanding of SQL Engine and able to conduct advanced performance tuning
+ Proficient in at least one of the SQL languages (SparkSQL, Trino)
+ 1+ years of experience with workflow management tools (Airflow)
+ Comfortable working directly with data analytics to bridge Lyft's business goals with data engineering
+ Preferred to have experience of building and maintaining customer care related data tables as a Data Engineer for large organizations

What is your role?
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for defining technical direction, leading complex Data Engineering initiatives, and building scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data solutions.
You will remain hands-on with data pipelines, Python, SQL, cloud technologies, and distributed data processing while also influencing architecture, engineering standards, data quality, governance, and platform strategy.
This position does not currently have direct reports. Leadership will be demonstrated through technical expertise, project ownership, mentoring, and cross-functional influence.
**Major responsibilities and tasks of the position:**
- Define and evolve scalable data architectures, platforms, pipelines, and curated data products that support manufacturing, analytics, reporting, and AI/ML applications.
- Lead the design, development, optimization, and delivery of complex ETL/ELT pipelines and distributed data-processing solutions.
- Establish and promote Data Engineering standards, development patterns, data-quality frameworks, observability practices, documentation, and platform governance.
