Role Responsibilities:

**Job description**
**Role purpose**
Own end-to-end tax compliance and IFRS tax reporting for HSBC Mexico, ensuring strong governance and risk management, driving automation and continuous improvement, and partnering with the business and Head of Tax on strategic initiatives and complex tax matters.
**Main activities:**
_1. Tax Compliance and Reporting_
+ Lead the agile tax compliance process for all legal entities in Mexico, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment of tax obligations (ISR, VAT, SIPRED, ISSIF, IMMEX, informative returns).
+ Responsible for the accurate preparation and forecasting of current and deferred taxes for IFRS reporting, capital planning, stress testing, and profit sharing.
+ Ensure reconciliation and substantiation of tax accounts and respond to regulator tax requirements.
+ Oversee tax reporting for external audits, including Current and Deferred Taxes, and Effective Tax Rate (ETR).
_2. Governance and Risk Management_
+ Design, establish, and maintain a strong governance framework and SOX-compliant controls across all tax processes, ensuring interdepartmental coordination.
+ Identify Uncertain Tax Positions (UTPs) and potential exposures, aligning tax risk appetite with business strategies.
+ Implement proactive measures to mitigate tax risks and avoid operational losses.
_3. Process Optimization and Innovation_
+ Drive efficiency and automation in tax compliance processes by developing tactical and strategic solutions.
+ Encourage innovation and creative thinking to resolve complex tax matters effectively.
+ Promote continuous improvement and standardization of tax-related workflows.
_4. Business Advisory and Strategic Support_
+ Provide expert tax advisory on daily operations across functions.
+ Support the Head of Tax on strategic projects such as M&A, corporate restructuring, and entity rationalization.
**Requirements**
_Education_
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics (required)
+ Master's Degree in Taxes, Finance, or related field (preferred)
_Experience_
+ 10+ years of experience in Tax Compliance and Reporting, ideally in multinational companies.
+ Previous experience in the financial sector is highly desirable.
+ Experience at a Big Four firm (preferred).
+ Solid technical knowledge in both local and international tax advisory, compliance, and IFRS tax accounting.

+ Implementar proyectos de mejora enfocados en incrementar o mantener el desempeño de los productos, buscando resultados de parity o win frente a los principales competidores.

Gestionar y ejecutar las actividades asignadas a su cargo, atendiendo los requerimientos de cada uno de los clientes internos y externos, verificando el cumplimiento de la estrategia de seguridad, politicas, procesos e instructivos de trabajo
**Cómo generar impacto**
1. Realizar auditorias a procesos operativos, con enfoque a prevención de perdidas.
2. Asegurar el cumplimiento de las consignas del personal de seguridad privada.
3. Dar soporte a emergencias del SITE.
4. Realizar reportes de incidentes, accidentes, actos o condiciones inseguras en los lugares de trabajo en la HSE app
5. Auditorias aleatorias a politicas y procedimientos operativos, para detectar y reportar vulnerabilidades en los procesos.
6. Seguimiento a asistencia del proveedor de seguridad privada (cumplimiento a plantilla) 9.Participar en el plan de capacitación de seguridad.
7. Realizar check list de seguridad al proveedor de seguridad privada.
8.Enviar la Información generada por las actividades realizadas para la generación de KPI´s: Tales como: *Incidencias semanales. *Reporte de F,S,&D de auditorías a embarques *Reporte de Auditorias a Procesos.
9. Administracion documental y evidencias de proceso CTPAT.
10. Participacion en simulacros de seguridad, para asegurar el correcto funcionamiento de las politicas, procedimientos y lineamientos de Seguridad Patrimonial
11.Apoyo documental en procesos de investigación por reportes de clientes internos y/o externos
