YOUR TASKS
As part of the Forvia Hella Body Control Product Center, the Software Architect will lead the design and evolution of embedded software products for Memory Seat Modules (MSMs) and Intelligent Power Distribution Modules (IPDMs) at NSA region. This role is central to enabling advanced comfort, personalization, and intelligent power management features in next-generation vehicles, while ensuring compliance with automotive standards and scalability across OEM platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain modular, scalable, and reusable software architecture for MSM and IPDM ECUs.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards including AUTOSAR Classic, Functional Safety, ASPICE, and Cybersecurity.
- Design software components for motor control, seat position memory, load switching, diagnostics, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Platform Development & Integration
- Collaborate with system architects, hardware engineers, and software developers to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware and vehicle networks.
- Drive platform harmonization and reuse across multiple OEM programs and vehicle platforms.
- Support the development of bootloaders, AUTOSAR based architectures, and over-the-air update capabilities.
Technical Leadership
- Provide architectural guidance to development teams throughout the software lifecycle.
- Conduct design reviews, interface definition workshops, and technical audits
- Mentor junior architects and developers in best practices and architectural principles.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure traceability from system requirements to software requirements, implementation and validation.
- Support functional safety activities including FMEA and safety concept development.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to ASPICE compliance.
Innovation & Strategy
- Contribute to the strategic roadmap of the Body Control Product Center, focusing on software scalability and future-proofing.
Your Qualifications
- .Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 3 years in a software architecture role.
- Deep understanding of AUTOSAR Classic, CAN/LIN communication, and embedded bootloader strategies.
- Experience with seat comfort systems, motor control, and power distribution logic.
- Proficiency in tools such as Rational Rhapsody, Vector DaVinci, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Strong communication skills in English
Preferred Skills
- Experience working within Tier 1 automotive suppliers and OEM development cycles.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Design (MBD) and Simulink auto-code generation.
- Knowledge of diagnostic protocols (UDS, ODX) and service-oriented communication.
- Exposure to AGILE development, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices in embedded environments.

Job Summary:
The Software Architect is responsible for the software design and for the delivery of all technical aspects of software architecture into the product design. You’ll work with major OEMs and a talented global Aptiv team to deliver automotive ECU’s leveraging technologies such as embedded microprocessors, Ethernet, and CAN protocols, along with GPS, ultrasonic, cameras and Radar technology.
Your Role:
- Lead the software architecture planning, design and implementation – in particular:
- Develop and implement architecture and verification plan
- Analyze and determine critical system resource budgets across the system
- Drive and conduct design and code reviews
- Advise project and program management in planning
- Technical leadership and oversight of the SCRUM teams
- Allocate software functionality to components
- Work with Product Development and Product Strategy teams to create software products containing required features and modifications.
- Collaborate with system team to review determine customer requirements and component interface specifications
- Establish technical interfaces with key customer stakeholders to discuss, understand, describe, and document customer requirements.
- Drive decisions regarding the software / hardware architecture.
- Support new program and change request estimations and quotations.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, computer or related field of study)
- 10+ years of experience in the embedded software industry
- Experience with formal UML architectural design tools such as Enterprise Architect
- Good knowledge in field or software engineering and embedded systems architecture (HW/SW)
- Experience with Operating Systems/RTOS (Linux, QNX / OSEK / VxWorks / SafeRTOS) or applicable for automotive systems
- Master degree in Electronics or Computer Science / Electronics or related
- Experience with Active Safety systems or Autonomous driving systems
- Working knowledge of AUTOSAR
- Experience with low level drivers - SPI, I2C, and/or Ethernet drivers
- Experience with developing SW on Renesas/Infineon/Freescale 16/32 bit microcontrollers
- Experience with vehicle protocols - CAN, LIN, Flex Ray, Ethernet
- Familiarity with Automotive SPICE
- Familiarity with Agile methodology

Responsabilidades principales:
- Diseñar arquitecturas modernas basadas en microservicios, eventos y APIs distribuidas.
- Liderar procesos de migración tecnológica (.NET Framework → .NET 8, Node.js heredado → LTS).
- Diagramar soluciones utilizando UML, ArchiMate, Modelo C4 y Vistas 4+1.
- Utilizar herramientas como Lucidchart, Enterprise Architect, PlantUML y otras para documentar decisiones técnicas.
- Traducir necesidades de negocio en decisiones arquitectónicas claras y sostenibles.
- Colaborar con equipos de desarrollo, producto y QA para garantizar una implementación alineada.
- Comunicar conceptos técnicos complejos a audiencias diversas, fomentando la comprensión y colaboración.
- Ejercer liderazgo técnico e influencia sin autoridad formal, promoviendo la mejora continua.
- +5 años de experiencia en diseño y arquitectura de software.
- Experiencia sólida con el stack: .NET/C#, Node.js / TypeScript, React / Angular.
- Conocimiento profundo en arquitecturas distribuidas, REST, GraphQL y sistemas de caché (Redis 7.2).
- Dominio de SQL Server 2022 y herramientas de diagramación arquitectónica.
- Habilidades de comunicación interpersonal y liderazgo técnico.
- Capacidad para documentar soluciones de forma clara y ejecutiva.

La Home Depot México está en búsqueda de talento para la posición de Software Architect Manager con sede en San Pedro Garza García, N.L.
Objetivo del puesto:
Responsable de definir y liderar la estrategia técnica dentro del ecosistema online de HCL Commerce, asegurando que las soluciones sean escalables, seguras, sostenibles y alineadas con los objetivos de negocio. Su misión es garantizar que la plataforma evolucione de manera modular y eficiente, maximizando las capacidades nativas de HCL Commerce e integrándose de forma óptima con el resto de sistemas empresariales.
Principales Funciones:
- Liderar y asistir en los esfuerzos de implementación de proyectos y cambios dentro del ecosistema de plataformas online, asegurando modularidad, reutilización de componentes y compatibilidad futura.
- Diseñar y mantener la arquitectura técnica de la plataforma ecommerce, con especial atención a la seguridad, escalabilidad y reducción de deuda técnica.
- Definir principios, patrones y lineamientos de arquitectura, documentando las soluciones y asegurando su aprobación por los equipos de proyecto.
- Participar activamente en la definición de requerimientos funcionales y no funcionales para nuevas aplicaciones o evolutivos de las existentes, enfocado principalmente en el sitio ecommerce.
- Desarrollar especificaciones de alto nivel y estrategias de integración con sistemas críticos (OMS, pasarelas de pago, etc.).
- Validar diseño, lógica y calidad del código, apoyando al Tech Lead en la coordinación de revisiones de código (code reviews).
- Definir y mantener una estrategia clara y eficiente de pull requests, CI/CD y procesos de despliegue, asegurando entregas consistentes y de alta calidad.
- Utilizar herramientas y metodologías para representar y comunicar la arquitectura y funcionalidad de las soluciones propuestas.
- Comunicar de manera efectiva las guías y conceptos técnicos a los equipos de desarrollo y a stakeholders no técnicos.
- Aprobar la arquitectura y el producto final antes de su puesta en producción, asegurando alineación con estándares y principios de diseño.
- Colaborar con equipos de operaciones para resolver problemas técnicos, anticipar riesgos y recomendar soluciones óptimas que protejan la operación del canal ecommerce.
- Incorporar y garantizar estándares de seguridad y cumplimiento normativo (PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) en todo el ciclo de vida de las soluciones.
- Explorar e impulsar la adopción de nuevas tecnologías (headless, microservicios, APIs, inteligencia artificial, MACH architecture) que fortalezcan la plataforma y habiliten innovación.
Requisitos
- Profesión terminada en Ingeniería o Licenciatura en Tecnología de la Información.
- Inglés avanzado.
- Al menos 3 años de experiencia como arquitecto Java o desarrollador/ingeniero senior Java.
- Al menos 2 años liderando técnicamente equipos de desarrollo o células ágiles, incluyendo supervisión de código, arquitectura y despliegues.
- Experiencia trabajando con soluciones hosteadas en la nube.
- Plataformas de bases de datos: IBM DB2.
- Experiencia en diseño de arquitecturas de ecommerce, idealmente con HCL Commerce. (Deseable).
