About the team The Vendor Storefront and Vendor Platform teams are part of Zillow's Industry Software organization, which builds and advances Zillow’s B2B SaaS solutions for real estate agents, brokers, and vendors (service providers like media companies, inspectors, etc).

Vendor Storefront owns the booking flows, invoicing, payouts, scheduling, and capabilities tied to dollars and key touch points between vendors and agents.

Vendor Platform owns vendor onboarding, billing, roster management, and the foundational business configuration for vendors, along with enabling our public API strategy for vendors. About the role
  • As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Vendor Platform or Vendor Storefront team, you'll be working directly with our engineering, design & product teams and be responsible for shipping full projects and features that immediately benefit our customers. 

  • You should have an in-depth understanding of Laravel and be comfortable working across frontend and backend.

  • Our systems are built with Laravel/PHP , Go, PostgreSQL, AWS, Tailwind CSS, and utilizes the latest in front-end frameworks such as InertiaJS, Vue 3, NextJS, and React.
     

    You will: 

  • Work primarily on large, complex feature rollouts, managing from start to finish (discussing requirements, technical scoping, building, testing, feature flagged beta release, and full GTM roll out)

  • Build and ship smaller enhancements to the product outside of project work

  • Collaborate with our existing team members

  • Help our customer success team interpret and debug technical issues from customers

About the team The Vendor Storefront and Vendor Platform teams are part of Zillow's Industry Software organization, which builds and advances Zillow’s B2B SaaS solutions for real estate agents, brokers, and vendors (service providers like media companies, inspectors, etc).

Vendor Storefront owns the booking flows, invoicing, payouts, scheduling, and capabilities tied to dollars and key touch points between vendors and agents.

Vendor Platform owns vendor onboarding, billing, roster management, and the foundational business configuration for vendors, along with enabling our public API strategy for vendors. About the role
  • As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Vendor Platform or Vendor Storefront team, you'll be working directly with our engineering, design & product teams and be responsible for shipping full projects and features that immediately benefit our customers. 

  • You should have an in-depth understanding of Laravel and be comfortable working across frontend and backend.

  • Our systems are built with Laravel/PHP , Go, PostgreSQL, AWS, Tailwind CSS, and utilizes the latest in front-end frameworks such as InertiaJS, Vue 3, NextJS, and React.
     

    You will: 

  • Work primarily on large, complex feature rollouts, managing from start to finish (discussing requirements, technical scoping, building, testing, feature flagged beta release, and full GTM roll out)

  • Build and ship smaller enhancements to the product outside of project work

  • Collaborate with our existing team members

  • Help our customer success team interpret and debug technical issues from customers

  • Investigate bugs, determine root problems, and deploy fixes

The Data Lifecycle Management Team provides guardrails for security, privacy, and data quality ensuring that the data infrastructure and processes adhere to industry standards and best practices. In addition to the Data Platform Governance team, the senior software development engineers collaborate closely with two other development teams within the Data Platform organization. About the role

This role will be responsible for developing and supporting data platform infrastructure. They utilize data technologies such as Spark, Hive, Airflow, Databricks, Kafka, Flink, and other industry and internal tools.

Will collaborate to provide Data Platform Environments that empower internal Zillow Group customers to deliver high-quality data solutions that create trust and delight our customers.

  • Experience in setting up and optimizing data pipelines

  • Experience in developing scalable processes for supporting multiple user groups and teams.

  • Familiarity and Experience with running on-call operational responsibilities for data platform systems

  • Databricks experience is a plus.

  • Experience with Data Governance & Compliance (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, SOX, etc) is a plus

The Real Estate Data for Analytics (REDA) team is uniquely positioned within Zillow to deliver this resource. Our team specializes in transforming a broad range source-aligned industry data into highly accessible data products that serve a range of analytical use cases across Zillow. By processing, aggregating, and curating this data, we minimize the data engineering burden for the many Zillow teams that focus on high-value Analytics, AI and ML initiatives. About the role

As a member of this team, you will:

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers and data scientists across teams to provide real estate data products purpose built for high priority initiatives

  • Mentor junior engineers, guiding them through product delivery milestones for work streams that you own

  • Skillfully design and implement efficient and maintainable components in new Databricks pipeline

  • Migrate or deprecate legacy data pipelines to reduce overall support burden on the team

  • Actively contribute to building a team culture of openness and innovation
