Payroll Specialist Job

Work Schedule: Hybrid (Roma, Mexico City)

This position involves handling sensitive employee data, verifying timesheets, and supporting compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Accurately input payroll data into the system, including employee hours, deductions, benefits, and other related information.
  • File Management: Download and upload payroll data files as required, ensuring smooth transfer and organization of files.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any errors related to payroll data, files, or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Payroll Processing: Ensure the accuracy of payroll by verifying employee timecards, deductions, and any other relevant data for payroll processing.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Reporting: Generate payroll-related reports as needed for internal use and auditing purposes.
  • Minimal Interaction: Limited communication with employees and clients, focusing mainly on data accuracy and file management.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required (an associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred).
  • A minimum of one year of experience in payroll data entry or a similar administrative role is required (experience with payroll systems or HR software is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (familiarity with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or similar is highly desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational, and time management skills are essential.
  • Ability to download, upload, and organize large data files with accuracy.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve errors in payroll data or systems.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, and tax regulations is a plus.

**General Description**: Provide support to SAP users, who execute different processes within the system (creation, blocking, data loading accounts, cost center under accounting standards).

The Master Data Management (MDM) Analyst will be responsible for designing and maintaining data across distributed systems with emphasis on Vendor Master, Customer Master and Financial Catalogs. **Key Responsibilities**:
Creation and management of master data in SAP for the different entities of the company.

a) Management and protect bank information of Vendors, Customer, employees and affiliates.

b) Creation and modification of cost centers, profit center and accounting accounts.

c) Blocking and unblocking of Accounts.

d) Blocking and unblocking Vendors.

e) Creation and updating of Customer, National and International Dealers

Continuous support to SAP users and during Accounting closing period.
Ability to manage master data on different internal platforms.
Monitor projects with IT areas and internal clients.
Heed to internal and external audit requirements.
Experience collaborating in multicultural environments.
Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
Identifies data requirements related to catalogs and/or catalog changes across digital systems. Updates the systems to reflect the new or changed data and test for consistency of data in downstream processes using the data.
Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.

**Education/Certifications**:
Administrative IT, Industrial or Systems Engineering or Accounting with experience in SAP
Associate Degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, or equivalent related experience

Previous Work Experience

Accounting/financial processes carried out in the SAP system
2+ years of working experience in using and or managing data within digital frameworks.
Vendor / Customer Master Data Management experience (in the context of large ERP platforms - SAP experience preferred).
Knowledge of key concepts around master data management, data standards and organizations.

**Job Description**:
**Contracts Support**

The role holder will be an integral member of the Sales division. The role primarily sits within the Commercial Operations division and provides support for all client contract related activities. The team are responsible for contract checking, processing and related online entitlement and invoicing for Wood Mackenzie's research clients. The role will directly support the global Sales team in all contracting aspects.

**Main Responsibilities**

You provide accurate and timely support for activities assigned to you and co-ordinate across the team and with other departments where required. These tasks include:

- Auditing, pre-checking, formatting and processing of contracts which have a varying degree of complexity, size & value to provide accurate & timely invoicing which enables correct access to content and diminishes commercial & legal risks to Wood Mackenzie
- Managing subscription access for Wood Mackenzie’s 1000+ clients
- Ownership of the bridging process for contracts whilst negotiations are ongoing to ensure that they are SOX and legally compliant, Wood Mackenzie revenue is protected and Client content access seamless
- Ownership of auto-renewal contract process to ensure price increases are communicated ahead of re-issue of annual invoices
- Work closing with the Billing team to ensure invoice accuracy of billing and delivery contact details

**Sub responsibilities**
- Monitoring client data quality and orders internally via Salesforce dashboards to deal with any issues that arise

Conocimiento de técnicas en administración de proyectos / reingeniería de procesos
Conocimiento de operación de mercados en plataformas de inversión
Manejo de bases de datos
Habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita; debe ser articulado y persuasivo en sus comunicaciones formales
Facilidad para adaptarse a cambios en el ambiente de trabajo en diferentes níveles organizacionales
Capacidad de manejar simultáneamente diferentes iniciativas de negocio, adaptarse a cambios en prioridades, foco en fechas límite de cumplimiento con control de calidad, cuidando detalles y veracidad de información
