**Main Objective**: Establish preventive quality systems that meet the requirements of the Client and the company based on continuous improvement and attached to the quality standards of the company.
**Responsibilities and authority**:
- Active participation in process analysis, new product/process validation, design reviews and Safe Launch activities.
- Coordinate review and submit PPAP documents to customer.
- Prepare PSW and Control Plans and conduct Process Capability and GR&R studies as part of PPAP submissions.
- Active participation with links communication with the client and for approval of PPAP´s.
- Active participation to get and report PPM levels per Client.
- Coordinate client’s demands/complaints
- Responsible of the voice of the Customer feedback
- Responsible of execute APQP & Run-rate events.
- Facilitate action plans for customer specific demands/complaints.
- Follow-up to corrective actions.
- Monitor Customer Portals (as applicable)
- Participates with multidisciplinary Team for scrap disposition and corrective action.
- Has the ability and empowerment to stop out of parameter processes.
- Controls manufacturing process to maximize quality improvement, improved efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Troubleshoots assembly and/or machining equipment as required to meet quality and production requirements.
- Creates and maintains controlled documents such as Control Plan, PFMEA, Operator Work Instruction, In-Process Inspection, Equipment Check Sheet, etc.
- Participates with multidisciplinary Team in APQP, FMEA, DOE, 8D, PSO y FTQ.
- Conducts SPC, CPK, Gage R&R and time study as required.
- Improves equipment layout, process, and material flow to optimize production line efficiency.
- Leads cross-functional team for solving quality problems by using root-cause analysis tools.
- Practices 5S and Plan/Do/Check/Action cycles.
- Trains operators on product knowledge and equipment operation.
- Supports IATF16949 and ISO 14000 audits. Participate in Internal and external audits.
- Follow-up of corrective actions by internal audits.
**What your background should look like**:
- **Education**: Engineering Degree.
- **Professional experience**:+3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, statistics, control plans.
- Experience as Quality Engineer in IATF 16949 automotive environment.
- Experience using customer portals.
- Experience in an automotive regulated environment (Tier 1 and OEM). Preferred
- **Advance English** (written and spoken)
- Hands on experience with tools of IATF 16949 especially Core tools, Root Cause Analysis.
- Travel within US, Mexico and other international locations as required.
- Knowledge applicable to the position in IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
- **Valid visa or in process.**
Travel: 10%-25%

**What your background should look like**:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support/lead for customer warranty programs
- Perform customer quality manual reviews. Provides direct input and collects input from cross-functional teams as needed. Documents exceptions in draft responses for final management review and approval. Completes quality-related sections on customer surveys. Foster and proactively build customer relationships in the region through customer visits. Coordinated proactive visits to key customer accounts with sales representatives.
- Maintain compliance of NA Quality Systems (according to ISO & IATF), and support initiatives for common/standard quality procedures across the region.
- Implement quality strategy to support, contribute to, and integrate within the organization’s short and long-term business plan.
- Maintain and improve systems to measure performance against established standards/targets.
- Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction while driving down costs (COPQ, Scrap, Customer complaints, etc)
- Regional focal point to manage major customer issues.
- Interface with Product Engineering to ensure AQP tools are properly utilized and “quality at rate” is achieved with all new product development launches.
- Support Lean-Initiatives (TE Operational Advantage) both to optimize/standardize processes as well as to achieve defined targets.
- Continuously work with site leaders to seek and leverage process improvements.
- Ensure Quality best practices and lessons learned are cascaded across all plants and functions.
- Establish effective cross site and cross department communications.
- Provide leadership for all Quality professionals across the region.
- Ensure the highest level of Ethics and Integrity across the assignment.
- Implement the 8 Quality Basics within NA Organization in order to move towards our operational excellence and achieve ECE in our products
- Drive with site leaders and Quality Managers the COPQ reduction (scrap, internal / external sorting, cycle count adjustments, inventory adjustments)
- Define with site Leaders and Quality site Managers the 5 years strategic plan and yearly Quality budget
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- University degree (engineering preferred)
- 8 to 10 years’ experience in Plant Operations various as Quality, Lean Manufacturing, Engineering (product and process engineering), Plant Manager and/or Operational assign-ments
- At least 5 years Regional experience with the leadership of various sites
- At least 10 years of Managerial Experience
- Strong background in Root cause analysis (Green - Black Belt Six Sigma will be a plus)
- Strong background in Customer Management
- Experience and direct contact with OEM´s
- Fluent in English both written and spoken (Spanish will be a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Automotive experience and knowledge preferred.
- PPAP, Customer Special Requirements, Problem Solving, Corrective Action, Quality Systems, Lean practices,
- Understanding of molding and assembly operations. Direct operations experience plus.
- 50%-75% travel, NA Region (Mexico and US) ( rest of the time based from home)
