TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary.
**Main Objective**: Establish preventive quality systems that meet the requirements of the Client and the company based on continuous improvement and attached to the quality standards of the company.
**Responsibilities and authority**:
- Active participation in process analysis, new product/process validation, design reviews and Safe Launch activities.
- Coordinate review and submit PPAP documents to customer.
- Prepare PSW and Control Plans and conduct Process Capability and GR&R studies as part of PPAP submissions.
- Active participation with links communication with the client and for approval of PPAP´s.
- Active participation to get and report PPM levels per Client.
- Coordinate client’s demands/complaints
- Responsible of the voice of the Customer feedback
- Responsible of execute APQP & Run-rate events.
- Facilitate action plans for customer specific demands/complaints.
- Follow-up to corrective actions.
- Monitor Customer Portals (as applicable)
- Participates with multidisciplinary Team for scrap disposition and corrective action.
- Has the ability and empowerment to stop out of parameter processes.
- Controls manufacturing process to maximize quality improvement, improved efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Troubleshoots assembly and/or machining equipment as required to meet quality and production requirements.
- Creates and maintains controlled documents such as Control Plan, PFMEA, Operator Work Instruction, In-Process Inspection, Equipment Check Sheet, etc.
- Participates with multidisciplinary Team in APQP, FMEA, DOE, 8D, PSO y FTQ.
- Conducts SPC, CPK, Gage R&R and time study as required.
- Improves equipment layout, process, and material flow to optimize production line efficiency.
- Leads cross-functional team for solving quality problems by using root-cause analysis tools.
- Practices 5S and Plan/Do/Check/Action cycles.
- Trains operators on product knowledge and equipment operation.
- Supports IATF16949 and ISO 14000 audits. Participate in Internal and external audits.
- Follow-up of corrective actions by internal audits.
**What your background should look like**:
- **Education**: Engineering Degree.
- **Professional experience**:+3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, statistics, control plans.
- Experience as Quality Engineer in IATF 16949 automotive environment.
- Experience using customer portals.
- Experience in an automotive regulated environment (Tier 1 and OEM). Preferred
- **Advance English** (written and spoken)
- Hands on experience with tools of IATF 16949 especially Core tools, Root Cause Analysis.
- Travel within US, Mexico and other international locations as required.

This role involves working closely with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to conduct risk assessments and develop advanced product quality planning methodologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The AQE plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with industry standards and customer requirements while enhancing product reliability and performance.
**Job Requirements**
- Facilitate Design Review (DR) and Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) reviews through the product development lifecycle.
- Evaluate and document project quality risks
- Implement quality planning and controls for prototype and/or sample builds and manage build records and documents.
- Complete measurement system analysis for inspection systems and gages to be utilized.
- Develop quality control plans
- Work with NPD team to coordinate sample preparation and certification for product verification and qualification testing.
- Conduct and analyze process capability studies in support of Final Tool Approval (FTAR) for all tools and production lines associated with the project using the Comprehensive Tool Approval Report (CTAR), form 5389-DND.
- Review and analyze samples, quality issues and improvement actions during pilot run(s) in preparation for mass production.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation using tools like 8D, Six Sigma, and DMAIC.
- Implement quality controls, inspection gauges, fixtures and inspection procedures (QIP) for production shop floor.
- Ensure Quality requirements are being followed as per -DND "DND General Quality Requirements" spec.
- Identify customer and internal quality requirements and ensure they are in the PRD.
- Approve product drawings as required.
- Submit product final inspection / verification report for customer approval. i.e. PPAP, FIR, CVR.
- Provide support on quality related tasks to other sister plants as required.
**What your background should look like**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering: Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field.
+ Advanced certifications (CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) are a plus.
+ 5 years in quality engineering, manufacturing, or product development roles
+ Knowledge and working experience with Automotive core tools - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA & 8D problem-solving.
+ Experience in SPC techniques and 7 quality tools.
+ Knowledge in ISO9001 quality management system (QMS)

They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

The right candidate must be resourceful, articulate, and able to deliver on a wide variety of solutions across PC and IoT technologies. Our teams partner with specialist engineers from major silicon companies to integrate next-generation features and performance enhancements for upcoming hardware.
Location: This is a Globally remote role
What your day will look like
- Design and implement the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks
- Work with partners to deliver a delightful, optimised, first class Ubuntu experience on their platforms
- Take a holistic approach to the Ubuntu experience on partner platforms with inputs on technical plans, testing strategy, quality metrics
- Participate as technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge
- Help our customers integrate their apps, SDKs, build device OS images, optimize applications with Ubuntu Core, Desktop and Server
- Work with the most advanced operating systems and application technologies available in the enterprise world.

SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER III

**Job Overview**
The Supplier Quality Engineer will lead activities with suppliers to assure quality is built into every component and items meet TE Sensors requirements. TE is looking to transform and create a best-in-class supply base that will enable "zero defect quality culture" and significant growth within the business.
**Job Requirements**
+ Work with assigned suppliers to organize and implement actions to assure delivery of products and/or services that meet established requirements and fulfills customer needs and expectations
+ Coach suppliers regarding Operational Excellence, Root Cause Corrective Action, Problem Solving.
+ Lead, drive, and support root cause and corrective action investigations with the supply base
+ Review and approve FAIRs, PPAPs, FMEA, Control plans, 8D reports
+ Verify effectiveness of corrective actions
+ Effectively facilitate supplier assessments/audits on time
+ Support development of qualification, test and Inspection Plans.
+ Ensure phase gates deliverables are completed per process
+ Monitor and track all supplier deviations to closure
+ Maintain compliance to established procurement and quality systems
+ Develop and oversee necessary supplier Zero Defect continuous improvement plans
+ Lead initiatives and special projects as assigned to support commodity and supply base improvements
+ Implement plans to drive key metrics, such as cost of poor quality, supplier recovery, defect rate, supplier quality plan engagement/effectiveness,
+ PPAP completion, audit execution and corrective and preventative action closure
+ Manage material review dispositions for supplier non-conforming materials or products
+ Manage the change action board to ensure compliance to the documented change process
+ Analyzes data to identify chronic underperforming suppliers and establish a rhythm to monitor PDCA process to ensure improvement.
+ Monitor and review critical parameters under statistical process control, taking the necessary actions (updating limits, etc).
**What your background should look like**
+ BS in Engineering or equivalent
+ +5 years of Quality experience.
+ Advanced knowledge of new product introduction and qualification
+ Root cause analysis/ Problem solving / Lean / Six Sigma acumen
+ Knowledge of quality tools FAIR, PPAP, APQP, 8D etc.
+ Knowledge of Automotive, Medical, Aerospace &/or Industrial standards (IATF 16949, ISO1348, AS9100, etc.)
+ Results oriented, driven individual
+ Ability to successfully interact within a quality, engineering, design and manufacturing communities and the supply chain
+ Ability to travel up to 50% to supplier and manufacturing site
