**Main Objective**: Establish preventive quality systems that meet the requirements of the Client and the company based on continuous improvement and attached to the quality standards of the company.
**Responsibilities and authority**:
- Active participation in process analysis, new product/process validation, design reviews and Safe Launch activities.
- Coordinate review and submit PPAP documents to customer.
- Prepare PSW and Control Plans and conduct Process Capability and GR&R studies as part of PPAP submissions.
- Active participation with links communication with the client and for approval of PPAP´s.
- Active participation to get and report PPM levels per Client.
- Coordinate client’s demands/complaints
- Responsible of the voice of the Customer feedback
- Responsible of execute APQP & Run-rate events.
- Facilitate action plans for customer specific demands/complaints.
- Follow-up to corrective actions.
- Monitor Customer Portals (as applicable)
- Participates with multidisciplinary Team for scrap disposition and corrective action.
- Has the ability and empowerment to stop out of parameter processes.
- Controls manufacturing process to maximize quality improvement, improved efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Troubleshoots assembly and/or machining equipment as required to meet quality and production requirements.
- Creates and maintains controlled documents such as Control Plan, PFMEA, Operator Work Instruction, In-Process Inspection, Equipment Check Sheet, etc.
- Participates with multidisciplinary Team in APQP, FMEA, DOE, 8D, PSO y FTQ.
- Conducts SPC, CPK, Gage R&R and time study as required.
- Improves equipment layout, process, and material flow to optimize production line efficiency.
- Leads cross-functional team for solving quality problems by using root-cause analysis tools.
- Practices 5S and Plan/Do/Check/Action cycles.
- Trains operators on product knowledge and equipment operation.
- Supports IATF16949 and ISO 14000 audits. Participate in Internal and external audits.
- Follow-up of corrective actions by internal audits.
**What your background should look like**:
- **Education**: Engineering Degree.
- **Professional experience**:+3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, statistics, control plans.
- Experience as Quality Engineer in IATF 16949 automotive environment.
- Experience using customer portals.
- Experience in an automotive regulated environment (Tier 1 and OEM). Preferred
- **Advance English** (written and spoken)
- Hands on experience with tools of IATF 16949 especially Core tools, Root Cause Analysis.
- Travel within US, Mexico and other international locations as required.
- Knowledge applicable to the position in IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
- **Valid visa or in process.**

**Responsibilities**:
- Active participation in process analysis. APQP, New product / process validation and Safe Launch
- Lead creation of Control Plan, corrective/preventative actions and process troubleshooting and improvements within the supply base
- Create / Support with PPAP documentation to the appropriate PPAP team for approvals. Negotiate approval status as necessary.
- Conduct Process Capability and GR&R studies as part of the initial process validation
- Prepare documentation for quality inspection plans as needed, DQIP creation and update.

**What your background should look like**:
- BS Degree in Engineering required with 3+ years of relevant experience

**Requirements**:
- BA/BS degree in Computer science or related field
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Fluency in Python, Experience in Scala/Java is a huge plus (Polyglot programmer preferred!)
- Proficiency in Linux
- Strong understanding of RDBMS, SQL;
- Passion for engineering and computer science around data
- Knowledge and exposure to distributed production systems i.e Hadoop is a huge plus
- Knowledge and exposure to Cloud migration is a plus
- Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation

What your day will look like
- Design and implement the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks
- Work with partners to deliver a delightful, optimised, first class Ubuntu experience on their platforms
- Take a holistic approach to the Ubuntu experience on partner platforms with inputs on technical plans, testing strategy, quality metrics
- Participate as technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge
- Help our customers integrate their apps, SDKs, build device OS images, optimize applications with Ubuntu Core, Desktop and Server
- Work with the most advanced operating systems and application technologies available in the enterprise world.

**Job Overview**
The Supplier Quality Engineer will lead activities with suppliers to assure quality is built into every component and items meet TE Sensors requirements. TE is looking to transform and create a best-in-class supply base that will enable "zero defect quality culture" and significant growth within the business.
**Job Requirements**
+ Work with assigned suppliers to organize and implement actions to assure delivery of products and/or services that meet established requirements and fulfills customer needs and expectations
+ Coach suppliers regarding Operational Excellence, Root Cause Corrective Action, Problem Solving.
+ Lead, drive, and support root cause and corrective action investigations with the supply base
+ Review and approve FAIRs, PPAPs, FMEA, Control plans, 8D reports
+ Verify effectiveness of corrective actions
+ Effectively facilitate supplier assessments/audits on time
+ Support development of qualification, test and Inspection Plans.
+ Ensure phase gates deliverables are completed per process
+ Monitor and track all supplier deviations to closure
+ Maintain compliance to established procurement and quality systems
+ Develop and oversee necessary supplier Zero Defect continuous improvement plans
+ Lead initiatives and special projects as assigned to support commodity and supply base improvements
+ Implement plans to drive key metrics, such as cost of poor quality, supplier recovery, defect rate, supplier quality plan engagement/effectiveness,
+ PPAP completion, audit execution and corrective and preventative action closure
+ Manage material review dispositions for supplier non-conforming materials or products
+ Manage the change action board to ensure compliance to the documented change process
+ Analyzes data to identify chronic underperforming suppliers and establish a rhythm to monitor PDCA process to ensure improvement.
+ Monitor and review critical parameters under statistical process control, taking the necessary actions (updating limits, etc).
**What your background should look like**
+ BS in Engineering or equivalent
+ +5 years of Quality experience.
+ Advanced knowledge of new product introduction and qualification
+ Root cause analysis/ Problem solving / Lean / Six Sigma acumen
+ Knowledge of quality tools FAIR, PPAP, APQP, 8D etc.
+ Knowledge of Automotive, Medical, Aerospace &/or Industrial standards (IATF 16949, ISO1348, AS9100, etc.)
+ Results oriented, driven individual
+ Ability to successfully interact within a quality, engineering, design and manufacturing communities and the supply chain
+ Ability to travel up to 50% to supplier and manufacturing site
