Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy of warehouse and plant inventory balances. This position is responsible for maintaining the cycle count program and process, root cause analysis, accuracy reporting, and corrective actions. The successful implementation and maintenance of these processes should yield increased inventory accuracy, reduced component shortages, reduced cost of indirect labor for material handling, and improved productivity of the manufacturing operation.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Management and maintenance of the cycle count process per standard work, including, but not limited to: selection of parts to be counted, cycle count method and technique, reconciliation of counts to perpetual records, root cause analysis for errors, process change requests to reach 98%+ inventory accuracy.
  • Responding to on-demand cycle count requests generated from plant operations.
  • Actively participate on cross-functional teams as they relate to improving inventory flow and accuracy (Lean Manufacturing).
  • Continually strive to improve Materials Management processes in pursuit of excellence (Cycle Counting, Kanban, and Audits).
  • Solve process issues in a timely manner by interacting with appropriate departments.
  • Use MRP system and related tools to develop reports that can be used by Materials Management personnel to monitor, control, and reduce inventory.
  • Special Projects

Your Job
As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will design and implement efficient processes and productivity methods to ensure the timely supply of materials to the production floor while controlling inventory levels and minimizing losses. You will lead the creation and deployment of automated systems and tools to optimize material movement, enhance inventory accuracy, and drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be part of our team, collaborating closely with planning teams, production leaders, and finance across Molex Guadalajara. Our team focuses on Lean Manufacturing principles and automation to deliver innovative material management solutions that support operational excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Define and implement material movement strategies to reduce inventory risks in Work In Process (WIP)
  • Develop process controls and tools to monitor inventory levels and measure productivity by person and shift
  • Collaborate with warehousing and inventory teams to optimize transaction methods, propose technology applications, and ensure system accuracy
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including the integration of automation technologies such as Kanban systems, robotics, and pick-to-light solutions to reduce manual labor
  • Document and integrate processes into the plant's Quality Management System
  • Ensure all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications
  • Actively support 5S, EHS, Quality, and Lean programs by following approved procedures and recommending improvements
  • Control key metrics including day of supply in WIP, work order aging, and material loss root cause analysis
  • Define risk materials in WIP and collaborate with production supervisors to control inventory
  • Build and lead a high-performance team while maintaining good documentation practices

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5 + years of relevant experience in inventory control and process improvement
  • Proven experience implementing Kaizen and other continuous improvement methodologies, with strong problem-solving skills (Ishikawa, 5 Whys, PDCA)
  • Hands-on experience leading multidisciplinary teams to implement automation solutions
  • Proficient in Excel (Vlookup, Sumproduct, Sumif) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Conversational english proficiency required
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently with a service-oriented attitude

Overview

As the Superintendent of Warehouse & Inventory Control at Molex Guadalajara, you will lead and ensure efficient and accurate warehouse operations across three warehouses. You will drive productivity improvements, maintain inventory accuracy, and lead a high-performance team to support the seamless flow of materials to production floors. Your role is critical in reducing inventory risks, optimizing space utilization, and implementing innovative processes and tools to enhance operational excellence.

What You Will Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and inventory control supervisors to ensure high-performing teams aligned with company goals.
  • Design and implement strategies to optimize warehouse material flow, reduce excess and lost inventory, and ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Develop and deploy metrics and systems to monitor warehouse process efficiency, space utilization, and inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Materials teams to coordinate timely receipt of materials, resolve discrepancies, and support production plans.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and apply automation and technology to improve material handling and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, 5S principles, environmental health and safety (EHS), and quality standards.
  • Maintain reliable inventory control through effective system transactions, cycle counts, and day-of-supply management.
  • Oversee documentation practices, audit corrective actions, and support continuous improvement programs.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Professional degree (engineering degree preferred).
  • Strong proven experience in warehouse supervision or management roles.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management software, databases, and process improvement methodologies.

A day in the life
- Review network performance metrics across al the MX network, and lead action plans to solve performance gaps vs target.
- Lead E2E network design initiatives with multiple stakeholders from different geographies.
- Track and solve inquiries from other stakeholders regarding network design, speed, coverage and performance initiatives.
About the team
We are the Fulfillment Experience team! Fulfillment Experience (FX) performs a centralized function supporting the MX Operations with data, plans, and required systems set up, taking care of the full flow of a customer order. FX team's responsibilities scope covers: Network Strategic Design, Network Transportation Planning, Program Management, External Fulfillment (EF) and Reverse Logistics Operations. Our goal is to develop a supply chain network that delivers customer orders in time, at the fastest, lowest cost, and most reliable way.

Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years' work experience in logistics/ transportation industry.
- Proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, VLookUps, programming with macros and/or visual basic).
- Data management, Vendor management, Transportation & Logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internal-External stakeholder management, Data analysis, negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.
- Expertise in SQL logical programming language.
- A self-starter who loves data and who enjoys spotting the trends in it!
- Degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or related field.
- B1 - MCER English level.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and optimize transportation routes using data-driven approaches
Monitor key performance metrics for the transportation network
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements
Participate in cost optimization projects
Track service quality indicators
Support daily transportation operations
Assist in implementing new processes and tools
Create and maintain performance reports
About the team:
We're a fast-paced, innovative team focused on improving how Amazon packages move from our fulfillment centers to customers across Mexico. We work on:

Managing peak season operations
Implementing new transportation solutions
Basic Qualifications:
Recent graduate (within last 12 months) or final semester student in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Intermediate to advanced English level (written and spoken)
Basic analytical skills
Flexible schedule availability
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic data analysis knowledge
Internship experience in logistics or transportation
Familiarity with data analysis tools
Basic SQL knowledge (not required)
Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Key job responsibilities
- Work in an ambiguous environment where the final solutions are not always clear.
- Take responsibility for contacts with vendors/employees, ensuring that each contact is accepted and resolved with a high degree of customer focus.
- Manage related KPIs to measure, control and compare Transportation Programs, including the creation of recurring metric reports.
- Manage and maintain the details and progress of employee training.
- Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Fulfillment Centers).
- Execute the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the WePay program and review the results with local stakeholders.
- Collaborate in the development of standard working documents.
- Manage the performance of vendors.
