The EHS Manager in Nuevo Leon, Apodaca will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship through the implementation of the Safety Lean Transformation and adherence to the Action Plan of Sustainability for FY2025. You will ensure that all EHS objectives are met with 100% compliance according to corporate requirements and industry standards. This position is pivotal in providing leadership and strategic direction for the implementation of comprehensive EHS programs and processes tailored to operational needs and relevant legislative requirements, as well as assessing specifications for new projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the expansion development process by thoroughly evaluating and reviewing proposals, requests for proposals, and contract documentation for all relevant EHS issues, ensuring that EHS considerations are integrated into the decision-making process.
- Establish and enforce criteria for various new business expansions to ensure alignment with EHS standards and corporate objectives.
- Develop, implement, and manage a robust regional EHS management system that adheres to JCI and industry requirements, while achieving and maintaining compliance goals for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
- Provide expert support and conduct professional reviews of incident investigations and corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Goal
Ensure the compliance for the International Standard Organization (ISO 14001 & 45001), ensuring the certifications required for the customer and company. As well, comply with the local matrix of legal government regulations (at the federal, state, and municipal level in matters of safety, health, hygiene, and security) and corporate compliance for the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security. Also, promote a Safety Culture, through to the HPT´s and employees, to prevent risks and incidents, negative environmental impacts, providing a safe and healthy work place through the EHS programs.
Responsibilities
Maintain compliance of the JCMS, ISO 14001, 45001, FM Global and others.
Attend external compliance audits (internal or external). Monitoring the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security regulations for single or multiple facilities. Use EHNESA system to ensure all legal requirements per site. Identify and intervene to correct unsafe and off standard conditions, when immediate correction is not possible report to direct manager or to the corresponding department. Actively participate in the Management System (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, others). Ensure training and execution of Management of Change Process in the current and new projects ensuring non penalties in the process. Identify, report any injury or potential injury and any potential environmental impact and crate action plans to avoid recurrence. Identify and report potential environmental impacts. Active participation in plant programs such as Safetrack observations, Safestart, suggestion box, Employee Idea System and LPA audits.
