**Job Description**
The Oracle Analytics Service Excellence (OASE) team within Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) is responsible for developing tools, technologies, processes, and driving change/ improvement through data driven decision making that drives collaborative solutions across multiple job disciplines. OASE is focused on building cloud-based technologies managing, improving, maintaining, and evolving the public cloud services offerings; as well as automating processes, developing code and services, operating, and reporting on internal applications that support the growth of the business, education of partners, and ensuring compliance across the breadth of Oracle Analytics.
The ideal candidate is going to work in an agile environment on problems that are focused on improving uptime by reducing time to mitigation when issues are surfaced/reported by automated means or through customer incidents, contributing to code for automation of monitoring, patching, and remediation of service anomalies. You will work alongside a software development team within the greater OAC organization where you will support existing features in the cloud as well as new operational processes, automation, and content. You will play a key role in improving the processes supporting the OAC services, so that the service functions more and more autonomously over time.

**Responsibilities**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform DevOps activities to support service reliability with customers, release cycles, and production stability.
+ Participate in a follow-the-sun model for 24x7 support of Oracle Analytics Services
+ Respond to service incidents, troubleshoot, and lead resolution efforts, including root cause analysis.
+ Become an expert in Oracle Analytics services, to prevent/resolve customer issues effectively and prevent regressions and repeats.
+ Document various processes & runbooks as well as update existing processes.
+ Deliver interim patches, hot-fixes, and upgrades with high quality.
+ Partner with development, product, and support teams to resolve service failures/outages.
+ Monitor service metrics, analyse trends, and implement improvements to CI/CD pipelines and operational processes followed by the team.
+ Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the organization.
+ Mentor and guide junior engineers, contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence, and drive continuous improvement.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline.
+ Understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
+ Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and experience with system-level troubleshooting and scripting.
+ Exposure to DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments).
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to reverse engineer existing systems.
+ Ability to produce clear technical documentation (runbooks, knowledgebase articles, help guides).
+ Experience working with agile methodologies.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to work with remote, globally distributed teams.
+ Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with all stakeholders.
+ Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic project needs.
+ Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and perform occasional after-hours work.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) or Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), BI Publisher, OBIEE.
+ Experience with Oracle Cloud applications (ERP, SCM, etc.) including Oracle Cloud Reporting Tools (OTBI, BIP and Oracle BI Applications/FAW/FDI with expertise in one or more of the following pillars - ERP, SCM, HCM and CX) preferred.
+ Strong understanding of building RPD/ Semantic Model, with clear understanding of Physical, Business Model, and Presentation layers.
+ Knowledge of Oracle DB technologies (Autonomous DB, MySQL, and/or NoSQL is a plus.
+ Proficiency in programming, SQL tuning and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell scripting, or Java, and/or Go is a plus.
+ Strong understanding of cloud concepts (compute, storage, and network) and platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and/or AWS, Azure, GCP.
+ Strong system administration skills, including Linux internals, TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing technologies.
+ Experience with issue tracking and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
+ Experience with the following is an advantage:
+ CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
+ Continuous deployment and source control tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven
+ Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker technologies
+ Experience with cloud-native application development (microservices, Kubernetes, Docker technologies).

**The Opportunity**
As a Cloud DevOps Senior Engineer you'll work as technical specialist alongside business, product development and infrastructure teams within a scaled agile environment, continuously managing short change cycles to drive to our future state strategy. You are passionate about DevOps and Reliability engineering, experienced with public cloud(s) and hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub or equivalent like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.). You will design/build/deploy complex, forward-looking Infrastructure as Code to support the Takeda Enterprise Cloud Platform and Applications deployed onto the Takeda Enterprise Cloud.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work as a technical leader alongside business, product development and infrastructure teams within a scaled agile environment, continuously managing short change cycles to drive to our future state strategy.
+ Design/build/deploy complex, forward-looking Infrastructure as Code to support the Takeda Enterprise Cloud Platform and Applications deployed onto the Takeda Enterprise Cloud.
+ Apply deep cloud infrastructure knowledge with respect to microservices architecture, design patterns, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
+ Contribute to Takeda's mission by leading the development and adoption of cloud-first solutions that deliver business outcomes and drive innovation
+ Monitor for vulnerabilities and troubleshoot performance issues by implementing alert strategies for production environments
+ Provision AWS environments using infrastructure-as-code and partner with development teams to design a robust deployment and patching strategy
+ Work closely with product leads, scrum master, business customers to define feature specifications and build the next generation of digital health solutions
+ Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to provision environments, configure services, and perform capacity planning
+ Participate in support rotation, respond to system health alerts, and triage issues alongside helpdesk, managed services, and cloud ops teams
+ Develop and maintain application documentation according to Takeda Quality Systems and Software Development Life Cycle standards and procedures
**Skills and Qualifications**
**Required**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and integration.
+ 3+ years of hands on experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, EC2, LBs, AWS Native CI/CD Services, S3).
+ Highly proficient in provisioning AWS resources using Infrastructure as a code (IaC) with hands-on experience developing Cloud Formation Templates or Terraform.
+ Hands on experience in system level scripting using BASH and/or PowerShell.
+ Hands on programming skills in one or more high level languages like Python, Golang, Node.js, Java.
+ Proficient in handling CI/CD integrations with GitHub, GitHub Actions or equivalent and deploying infrastructure and applications on AWS.
+ Fluency with modern DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipeline processes.
+ Hands on experience with Docker containers and other orchestration tools/ services (AWS Fargate, EKS, RedhatOpenshift).
+ Good Operating System level debugging skills.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
**Preferred:**
+ Familiarity with container-enabled microservices and orchestration.
+ Familiarity with system and server administration (Active Directory, Linux, Windows, DNS).
+ Familiarity with Terraform, Packer and Ansible.
+ AWS Certification.

**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
+ 3 years of experience leading enterprise application portfolios and associated technologies: (VMWare, Openshift, Kubernetes, etc.).
+ Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
