**Role Purpose**
With only general guidelines, is able to propose, plan, coordinate, and control projects of moderate complexity and risk involving one or two technologies/organizational units (ex: building a melting unit) or new product with a process extension. Project/s will typically have moderate financial and /or strategic impact on the corporation. **Key Responsibilities**
+ Provide project leadership for key projects including new process or product development, capital projects such as capacity expansions, relocation, modifications, alterations, or manufacturing process improvements
+ Establish requirements with customer(s). Understand nature of the business requirements for each project
+ Establish overall project plans (scope, schedule, cost estimates, project acceptance criteria, procurement/contracting strategy, risk management, etc). Assist in project evaluation and justification. Work with the business in the preparation of Appropriation Requests (A/R)
+ Establish roles, responsibilities and competencies required for the project. Build an effective project team utilizing internal and external personnel resources with the ability to operate and supervise matrixed organizations. Establish receivership requirements for project
+ Conduct project meetings and document key issues, action items and decisions. Communicate and provide guidance to project team members (Engineering/ Manufacturing) based on organizational goals and company policy
+ Provide periodic project updates to customer(s) and management. Communicate project goals, objectives, key status information and overall impact of the project effectively with project team members
+ Effectively implement all phases of project methodologies to include appropriate initiation, planning, implementation and control, and close-out elements
+ Regularly and effectively communicate and update project key issues, status of completion and financial forecasts with project customers, senior management sponsors and senior management steering teams

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
**Role Purpose**
Execute division/regional PEx & Lean strategy to meet and exceed regional business objectives by developing and deploying initiatives that drive operations excellence. Lead / be the role model for ensuring that appropriate statistical analysis, engineering principals, and the scientific method are applied in PEx problem solving and decision-making projects. Leading the establishments of a Lean culture managing continuous improvement throughout the value streams within the plant. This includes foundational and transformational lean.
**Key Responsibilities**
Report to Regional PEx Champion and works with OCS Global PEx Champion and Plant PEx/Lean Black Belts to define and execute a consistent strategy for the following:
+ PEx and Lean development for GB and BB
+ On the job training, coaching and mentoring our belts and teams in region on problem solving methodologies
+ Development and deployment of new PEx tools and concepts
+ PEx and Lean culture deployment in new sites
+ Assessing and driving appropriate application of technical rigor throughout the PEx portfolio
+ Mentor belts during project execution
+ Analyze data to identify root causes of potential issues and inefficiencies as well as areas of opportunity at the different sites and drive resolution.
+ Lead/Participate in SWAT teams to address mayor problems/opportunities/complaints to improve processes and reduce defects.
+ Develop Belts communities of practice.
+ Participate during project review sessions to provide guidance/advice.
+ Deploy Lean tools and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.
+ Train and Facilitate creation of VSM, identify bottlenecks.
+ Support CLIMB deployment.
+ Create and establish a Lean Culture (5s, WPO, VM, etc).
+ Evaluate 5s performance and guide efforts on improvement plans.
Lead and facilitate cross-functional as well as teams across multiple sites on initiatives that span various lines of business, geographic borders, time zones, and cultures to achieve key objectives in Lean, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety to drive improvements
+ Connect with Technology and Commercial to assist with project leader development and PEx programs
+ Support execution of the regional PEx and Lean roadmap
**Experiences/Education - Required**
**Education.**
+ Required: Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field
+ Required: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certificate (or MBB)
+ Must be Bilingual with a high level of English proficiency
+ Desired: Masters (MBA, Engineering, Supply Chain) degree
**Work Experience**
+ Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
+ Leadership Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Plant Staff or Division Staff roles
+ Knowledge and experience with project planning tools such as MS Project, risk analysis, and KT decision analysis
+ Training and facilitation skills
+ Project management across several sites and cultures
+ Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills
+ Must be a self-starter, influential leader, able to work in team environment and motivate others

El Ingeniero de Mejora Continua Black Belt se encarga de fomentar una cultura de mejora continua en todas las ubicaciones asignadas demostrando y aplicando diligentemente Lean Six
Principios y metodologías de Sigma en los sitios asignados
Esta responsabilidad se extiende más allá de la ejecución de tareas personales; el cinturón negro también es fundamental
en tutoría y entrenamiento del personal de Yellow Belt y Green Belt hacia la certificación.
La orientación será fundamental para cultivar una fuerza laboral que domine los principios de Lean Six Sigma.
contribuyendo así significativamente a la cultura más amplia de mejora continua dentro del Organización Kuehne+Nagel Contract Logistics.
**Cómo generar impacto**
Llevar a cabo la implementación de PS en el (los) Centros de Distribución de Mexico :
a. Evaluación y Análisis: Identificar áreas problemáticas dentro del centro de distribucion, como ineficiencias, desperdicios, procesos lentos o falta de calidad
b. Planificación y Diseño: Desarrollar planes de mejora tangibles para abordar las áreas identificadas. Priorizar las acciones y colaborar con los supervisores y empleados para discutir ideas y soluciones
c. Implementación: Convertir los planes en acciones concretas. Por ejemplo, reorganizar el almacén para mejorar la eficiencia o implementar un nuevo software para facilitar el acceso a la información
d. Asistencia a Empleados: Brindar apoyo y capacitación a los empleados durante la implementación de cambios. Asegurarse de que comprendan las mejoras y se adapten a ellas
e. Seguimiento y Análisis de Resultados: Supervisar y evaluar los resultados de las acciones implementadas. Ajustar según sea necesario para lograr mejoras continuas
Atender la sesiones de Customer Onboarding para atender CRP.
Asegurar el mantenimiento de las herramientas de PS después de la implementación.
Facilitar y fomentar los procesos de mejora continua en CL (en la vertical asignada).
Ayudar a operaciones en la identificación de potenciales mejoras y en la implementación de iniciativas de mejora.
Asegura la sostenibilidad de los requerimientos locales de PS.
Identificar y recolectar las mejores prácticas para futuros desarrollos de las herramientas PS.
Monitorear y capturar los ahorros alcanzados en los Centros de Distribución.
Entrenar a los equipos locales en la filosofia y herramientas del PS.
Identificar y adoptar las mejores practicas.
Atender y satisfacer los estandares de calidad requeridos por el cliente.
Analizar datos e identificar causas raices.
Identificar las mejoras potenciales e implementa iniciativas de mejoramiento.
Facilitar procesos procesos de Cambio.
Busqueda, analisis e implementacion de nuevas tecnologias para la operacion.
Trabajar en equipo de Operacion el cumplimiento de los planes de mejora con cada uno de los clientes buscando incrementar el NPS.
Participacion activa en la implementacion de nuevos clientes.
Liderar y asegurar el proceso de certificacion de almacenes a Vertical.
Liderar proyectos Kaizens y GB.
Apoyar y coimplementar 5S, gestión visual, instrucciones de trabajo y otros estándares PS.
Co-liderar auditorías 5S.
Impartir capacitación introductoria sobre YB.
Apoyar y cofacilitar eventos DDVSA y otros eventos Lean (Kaizen, VSM).
Implementar la gestión de ideas (Gestión de sugerencias).
Apoyar la gestión diaria del desempeño y el seguimiento del proyecto.
Facilitar que los equipos del sitio cumplan los objetivos del sistema de producción.
Actualización del rastreador de CI, actividad de mejora continua.
Presentar casos de negocio para innovaciones.
Tome medidas para mejorar los niveles de excelencia del sitio.

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
**Role Purpose**
The Sr. Lean Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and optimization of complex manufacturing processes using advanced Lean methodologies. This role focuses on driving operational excellence through strategic initiatives such as benchmarking, value stream mapping, and process simulation. Acting as a technical expert and change agent, the engineer collaborates cross-functionally to implement best-in-class practices and support the organization's transition to a Lean-Sigma culture
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Drive the creation and continuous improvement of Value Stream Maps (VSM) for each project, identifying improvement opportunities across the entire value chain.
+ Build and validate process simulation models to estimate performance metrics such as cycle time, throughput, yield, and OEE under various scenarios
+ Lead the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes using Lean principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure process stability.
+ Analyze complex production systems to identify systemic inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions that align with business objectives.
+ Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard work, process flow diagrams, and time studies.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production, logistics) to ensure successful implementation of Lean initiatives
+ Support the deployment of foundational Lean tools (5S, SMED, Kanban, Andon, etc.) with a focus on sustainability and operator engagement.
+ Monitor and report on project KPIs, ensuring alignment with cost reduction, productivity, and quality improvement targets.
+ Act as a technical reference for Lean methodologies, providing guidance and support to technicians and other team members.
+ Lead multiple Lean-Sigma projects concurrently.
+ Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians.
+ Provide technical leadership in simulation modeling and data analysis.
+ Support the development of training materials and workshops.
+ Act as a change agent to promote continuous improvement in culture.
**Experiences/Education - Required**
+ Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
+ 5+ years of experience with proven leadership in Lean projects.
+ Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., Siemens, Simul8, Excel-based models).
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish)
**Experiences/Education - Desired**
+ Master's degree in engineering or related field.
+ Experience in high-volume, multi-product manufacturing environments.
+ Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
+ Experience in training and mentoring Lean teams.
+ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

**Job Description Summary**
The Process Quality Engineer is the quality expert and a key role in the parts NCR/RMA process. Primary focus is Power NCR/RMA correction and containment with additional responsibilities to drive continuous improvement projects (PSR, RCA, CIM) and support auditing activities. This is a great opportunity to develop competencies in core quality processes, establish strategic operational goals, and to collaborate across functions and poles.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Identify, prioritize, and implement multiple concurrent process improvement projects, alone or as part of a multifunctional team, to drive customer satisfaction and business productivity
+ Support all regions for NCRs, RMAs, escaping defects
+ Drive continuous improvement and problem solving through PSRs, RCAs and CIMs
+ Maintain and audit the quality system established by the QMS
+ Support and/or coordinate cross functional team efforts
+ Interface with cross functional teams such as Engineering, Order Management, Inventory, Sales, Six Sigma, IT, and Traditional Quality
+ Present analysis and recommendations proactively to staff level
+ Follow EHS rules and warn others to follow the rules, execute mandatory EHS trainings and immediately report the incidents and near misses as required.
+ Further tasks not involved in this Job Description that the immediate leader/manager assigns with verbally or in writing.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
+ Proven experience in a quality, operations, or engineering role

  • Realizar evaluaciones y auditorías de procesos, verificando que las acciones implementadas mantengan los beneficios esperados a largo plazo.
