**A Day in the Life**
**Legal Counsel Manufacture Mexico & Latam.**
Location: Mexico
Reports to: Senior Legal Counsel for Global Manufacturing
Position Summary: Provide legal support in Mexico and other locations in Latin America, focusing on Employment Relations, Contractual Management, Corporate Governance, EHS, Trade Compliance. This role is instrumental for ensuring an aligned regulatory compliance and the day to day supporting of the manufacturing operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Legal Support: Provide legal advice on Employment Law, Contractual, Corporate, Industrial Safety & Environmental, IMMEX Regime and other Trade Regulations in Mexico and Latin America.
Regulatory Compliance: Drive compliance with local and international laws and regulations applicable.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts. Support the management of agreements.
Litigation and Disputes: Control & Follow up of Litigation.
Training: Design & execute training programs for employees.
Corporate Relations: Collaborate with other departments to align legal strategies to corporate objectives.
Reporting: Prepare legal reports of cases, sites, new legislation. Use of AI and digital tools to ensure efficiency.
**SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:** Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. Education: Law degree from a reputed Law School. An LLM would be a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing Law in-house and/or at a Law Firm, Experience in Manufacturing and/or Health Care / Medical Devices industries would be a plus.
Knowledge: General knowledge and interest in Labor, Contractual, Corporate, Industrial Safety, Environmental, and Foreign Trade in Mexico and Latin America.
Skills: Strategic thinker, strong legal acumen, flexibility, good communication, problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English.

Associate Legal Counsel - Legal Counsel Manager

Job Overview

Following a recent acquisition, this Legal Counsel role is a pivotal member of our legal team, responsible for comprehensively leading and managing all legal affairs for our Mexican operations. This includes providing dedicated support for key strategic initiatives in Mexico and championing Group-level compliance within the Mexican entity. The role will also extend to supporting new company establishment and business rollout efforts in other Spanish-speaking South American countries (Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru). This position requires strong independent project-managing abilities, robust legal research and analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with internal teams, group headquarters, and external stakeholders including governmental departments.

What You Will Achieve

Comprehensive Mexico Legal Operations & Post-Acquisition Support:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents essential for the company's business operations in Mexico, including but not limited to commercial agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and potentially leases or construction agreements as relevant to the business.
  • Organize and manage the contract approval matrix and ensure systematic archiving of legal documents for the Mexican entity.
  • Provide dedicated and specialized legal support for key strategic projects and initiatives within Mexico, advising on all related legal and regulatory aspects from inception to completion.

Legal Risk Management & Compliance (Mexico Focus):

  • Conduct legal research and manage legal risks in relation to the company's operations in Mexico (both offline and online, if applicable).
  • Independently manage and handle comprehensive legal projects and advisory related to Mexican regulatory requirements, including but not limited to importation/exportation compliance, product labeling/marking (if applicable), advertising compliance, data protection, employment law, and consumer protection requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and policies for the Mexican entity, ensuring adherence to local laws (e.g., Mexican Commercial Code, data protection laws, anti-bribery laws) and Group-level compliance standards.
  • Manage corporate secretarial matters for the Mexican entity, ensuring good corporate governance.

South American Spanish-Speaking Countries Support:

  • Act as a key legal partner supporting the Group's establishment strategies and business rollout in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
  • Provide legal due diligence, risk assessment, and strategic advice for market entry, new business setups, and potential M&A activities in these regions, coordinating with HQ and external counsel as needed.

Intellectual Property Protection:

  • Oversee the protection of the company's intellectual property rights (trademarks, copyrights, patents, etc.) in Mexico and support regional IP strategies across the covered South American countries.
  • Review and negotiate IP licensing and related contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and in the best interest of the company.

Stakeholder & External Counsel Management:

  • Liaise effectively with external legal counsel in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and government agencies to ensure smooth operations and compliance with legal obligations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (local, regional, and Group) to understand business needs and provide practical, commercially-sound legal solutions.

Headquarters & Group Legal Liaison:

  • Assist the headquarters (HQ) legal team with legal affairs in relation to auditor's reviews, adjustments of shareholding structure (if applicable to Mexico or covered South American countries), M&A activities affecting Mexico or the region, and other legal matters as assigned by the HQ legal team from time to time.

Knowledge Sharing & Development:

  • Participate in and, where appropriate, conduct legal training sessions to enhance the legal knowledge and compliance awareness of internal teams in Mexico.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Law (LLB, LLM, or JD preferred) from a recognized university.
  • Eligibility to practice law in Mexico; alternatively, qualification in another civil law jurisdiction with substantial experience in Mexican law.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally with a combination of law firm and in-house counsel experience, preferably within a multinational corporation. Experience in retail is a plus.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to independently manage projects, interpret, and apply complex legal provisions relevant to Mexico and the covered South American countries.
  • Solid understanding of Mexican contract law, commercial law, corporate law, data privacy, and relevant industry regulations.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in a transnational corporation and familiarity with navigating matrix organizations.
  • Excellent command of English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is a must.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and pragmatic thinker with the ability to provide innovative yet practical legal solutions to complex business challenges.

Legal Counsel

The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to all business units and teams within the Dahua México region . About The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, creative, commercially-minded lawyer to support our Advisory business in Mexico. As a Counsel on the Advisory team of CBRE’s Legal Department, you will partner closely with our sales professionals, managers and leadership teams to negotiate and draft contracts and provide legal guidance, while assessing and mitigating risk proactively, creatively and strategically.

What You'll Do:

  • Review, negotiate and draft a high volume of contracts and transactional documents related to local and global commercial real estate services, including commercial brokerage, property management, national and global transaction management and consulting services.
  • Assess moderately complex contractual risks and counsel business teams and leadership on legal risk issues associated with client contracts, as well as contract interpretation, implementation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support senior Legal colleagues and department leadership with research and other projects related to CBRE’s Advisory business.
  • Partner with sales professionals, managers and leadership with respect to negotiation strategy, potential business disruptions, managing conflicts of interest and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with senior Legal colleagues and other internal functional areas (e.g., Finance, People, Tax, Digital & Technology, Ethics & Compliance) to identify, assess and thoughtfully mitigate risk exposure.
  • Investigate, respond to and/or hire and manage outside counsel to handle regulatory complaints and claims by or against CBRE.
  • Make decisions with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to meet deadlines and achieve results.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the law in areas of special interest to the business.
  • Support transaction and corporate recordkeeping processes and requirements by facilitating and delivering executed documents, maintaining electronic legal files and preparing related reports for legal and management stakeholders.
  • Develop and conduct legal training sessions for business colleagues and Legal Department members.

What You'll Need:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish languages.
  • At least 4 years of relevant private practice and/or in-house experience.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Global commercial contract experience preferred.
  • Effective writing and oral presentation skills.
  • Well-developed professional judgment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment, manage multiple tasks and set appropriate priorities with excellent follow-up skills and organization.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in creative and strategic problem-solving.

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
Th i s role is part of the integrated, global in-house legal team at NCR Voyix . Based in Mexico, you will serve as a senior legal leader for Mexico and the LATAM region, supporting a wide range of legal, compliance, and strategic matters . You will act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership, with responsibility for legal matters relating to commercial transactions, employment, payments, compliance, disputes, and regulatory risk.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Advise regional leadership, sales, and cross-functional teams across LATAM on legal and regulatory matters
+ Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, services, and subscription-based deals
+ Provide guidance on labor and employment issues, including internal investigations, terminations, and labor disputes
+ Counsel on anti-corruption, ethics, and regulatory compliance
+ Support regional litigation and dispute resolution matters
+ Contribute to M&A, corporate governance, restructuring, and other strategic initiatives
+ Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
+ Coordinate with and manage external counsel
+ Provide training to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance topics
+ Participate in global legal department initiatives, including template development and knowledge sharing
Qualifications & Experience:
+ Fully qualified lawyer in Mexico
+ Minimum 8 years of legal experience, including in-house counsel or law firm work supporting multinational companies, ideally in the IT/SaaS sector
+ Demonstrated expertise in labor/employment law, commercial contracting, and compliance
+ Familiarity with payments and financial services regulations is a strong plus
+ Experience advising U.S.-based multinationals and navigating cross-border legal issues
+ Business-oriented mindset with strong judgment and communication skills
+ Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with broad responsibilities
+ Experience managing or mentoring legal professionals is preferred
+ Fluent in Spanish and English
+ Willingness to travel occasionally within the region

**What are your contributions to the team?**
- Prepare model agreements for the purchase various indirect goods and services required to operate the aerospace manufacturing business of the Queretaro sites and eventually you may support on the elaboration of contracts for the purchase of certain machinery, software, or materials required for the business.
- Assist the HR team on the customization and implementation of internal policies as per Mexican Federal Labor legislation, labor contracts and claims.
- Proactively identify and manage risks in the review, drafting and negotiation of contracts.
- Assist on the contract management and governance processes and administration of contracts filing and archive.
- Coach your business partners on legal interpretations.
- Assist internal customers (under the supervision of Senior Legal Counsel) in interpreting contracts and resolving disputes with stakeholders, including reviewing and negotiating settlement agreements.
- Propose and implement creative solutions to complex business or contract problems.
- Occasionally you may be asked to travel to support Legal activities.
- Eventually, to support Corporate office, Customs, and Finance teams on Legal advice, under the supervision of Senior Legal Counsel.

+ You are a recent graduate or not more then up to 2 years after graduating from law school.
+ You have at least 1 year of experience in commercial contract drafting, negotiation and management, labor matters and foreign trade and customs programs.
