Forvis Mazars is hiring a Senior Transaction Services Professional – Mexico City (LatAm focus)
We are expanding our Transaction Services practice and seeking a motivated professional to join our team in Mexico, one of the fastest-growing hubs for M&A and cross-border deals in LatAM.
This role offers the opportunity to advance your career with a global consulting firm, collaborating with international teams across the U.S. and LatAm.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial due diligence for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Analyze financial performance and operational results of target companies.
- Prepare Quality of Earnings (QoE) reports and identify key diligence issues and value drivers.
- Evaluate financial trends, normalize EBITDA, and identify post-transaction risks or synergies.
- Lead client meetings and support executive discussions.
- Collaborate with teams in Mexico, U.S., and LatAm to deliver cross-border projects.
- Build robust financial models for analysis and valuation.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and client presentations.
- Stay current on M&A trends and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Transaction Services, M&A advisory, or financial due diligence (consulting).
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, international environment.
- English Proficient.
- Experience working with U.S. or international clients is highly desirable.

While working within a collaborative team environment, you will contribute to the independent review and assessment of electrical/power system engineering designs and technologies used in solar photovoltaic (PV), wind, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
In addition, you will support project assessments at various stages-such as development, construction, and operational phases-including on-site field inspections and report preparation. This position involves managing multiple projects simultaneously and requires demonstrated competence in a broad range of DC and AC electrical power systems engineering, generation, and construction concepts.
+ Support the electrical engineering and technology aspects of high-profile Independent Engineering and Technical Advisory projects for project financing, tax equity, sales and acquisitions of solar, wind and storage projects and portfolios, including performing electrical design reviews and reviewing the electrical power systems aspects of engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, interconnection contracts and project construction schedules.
+ Write and update technical reviews for equipment to be used to construct PV projects including inverters, PV modules, transformers, tracking systems and SCADA systems, and others.
+ Conduct detailed technical review and independent assessment of electrical engineering design, construction documentation and as built documentation, including plans, schematics, elevations, specifications, calculations, studies, construction submittals, test documentation, and construction QA/QC documentation.
+ Conduct on-site construction and operational monitoring to assess compliance with design drawings and specifications, good construction practices, and adherence to QA/QC programs. Also, perform initial site visits for site recognitions related to the specific service.
+ Participate in meetings and conference calls with lenders, investors, developers, contractors, and engineers regarding electrical engineering technical reviews and construction or operational issues.
+ Prepare detailed reports of electrical engineering design reviews, project documentation assessments, and construction monitoring services.
+ Participate in formal and informal departmental training activities to continue the development of the engineering knowledge base.
+ Attend regular departmental and team meetings.
+ Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
+ Travel up to 25 to 35%, as needed.
+ B.S. degree in electrical engineering.
+ At least 5 years of experience in electrical project engineering, ideally with 2-3 years focused on electrical design.
+ Experience in the design and/or analysis of AC and DC power systems with wind, PV or battery storage preferred.
+ Experience with the National Electrical Codes of Colombia (NTC and RETIE) and construction methods. Knowledge of national grid codes from other Latin American countries is a plus.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex engineering, construction, and operational issues to lay people
+ Proficiency in English.
+ Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
+ Self-starter with ability to schedule and prioritize tasks and commitments.
+ Customer-centric mindset and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
