What do we look for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition & Payroll, ideally in fast-paced environments such as hospitality or food & beverage
  • Strong track record in hiring blue-collar workers and managing workforce with experience in dealing with labor unions
  • Deep knowledge of Mexican labor laws, payroll regulations, health & safety regulations, and statutory benefits (e.g. IMSS, INFONAVIT, Aguinaldo, PTU, vacation law etc.)
  • Experience managing payroll processes and using payroll / HRIS software
  • Prior experience in the pre-opening phase of a restaurant or hotel is a strong plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and supporting employees and management at all levels
  • Fluency in Spanish and English required
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills; ability to prioritize under pressure

What will you work on?

  • Lead the full HR function for Nusr-Et Mexico, ensuring alignment with company values and full compliance with Mexican labor and employment law
  • Oversee recruitment & selection, with strong emphasis on operational roles and blue-collar workforce; work closely with labor unions where relevant
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent in hospitality in Mexico, positioning Nusr-Et as an employer of choice
  • Manage payroll operations ensuring correct calculation of statutory contributions, benefits (including Aguinaldo, profit sharing/PTU), vacation premiums, overtime rules, and worker protections under Mexican law
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and workplace regulations as required by Mexican authorities; develop and maintain local HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date employee handbooks, contracts, and related documentation; ensure all employment contracts are properly written, in Spanish, and include required terms (schedule, salary, benefits, etc.)
  • Serve as key HR partner for employees and leadership on employee relations, union negotiations, contracts, workplace issues, etc.
  • Drive training & development programs; support onboarding; create employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Collaborate with headquarters for HR strategy, reporting, and continuous improvement

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. **Role Purpose**
Ensures the implementation of Corning's 1HR strategy: Right Person - Right Place - Right Time. Working with all levels of the hierarchy and the Mexico HR team. About the Position

We are looking for Site HR manager to join the Marelli Lighting team in our manufacturing plant in Toluca.

The role of the Site HR Manager is to lead and manage all human resources functions within the manufacturing facility. This includes fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, and aligning HR initiatives with the organization’s strategic goals. The Site HR Manager acts as a bridge between employees and management, facilitating communication and enhancing workforce productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary contact for employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a healthy workplace culture.
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Partner with department heads to identify staffing requirements, manage the recruitment process, and conduct interviews to attract and retain high-quality talent.
  • Onboarding and Training: Oversee the onboarding of new employees and coordinate ongoing training programs to ensure compliance and skills advancement.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance review systems, assist in goal-setting, and support professional development initiatives.
  • Compliance and Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to HR policies and legal requirements, conducting compliance audits and training sessions.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Manage payroll processes and employee benefits programs, addressing related inquiries efficiently.
  • Health and Safety: Work with safety teams to maintain a safe working environment, supporting health and safety initiatives.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain precise employee records and generate reports to aid management in decision-making.
  • HR Strategy and Development: Collaborate with corporate HR to implement site-specific strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Change Management: Facilitate communication during organizational changes, assisting employees and management with transition processes.
  • Union Relationships and Cooperation: Establish and maintain positive relationships with labor unions, negotiating contracts and addressing union-related concerns to ensure harmonious labor-management relations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR management, preferably within a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with HR software and data management.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Professional HR certification is a plus.
