The Industrial Engineering - Trainee manages manufacturing resources applied to objectives of one or more
manufacturing sections or shift(s). Expectations are that this position will assist the Excellence BD Sr.
Engineer to perform activities related to continuous improvement projects. The Industrial Engineering -
Trainee has the authority and total responsibility to maintain production processes in constant continuous
improvement with the objective of reducing costs and facilitating the operation for the associate to establish
a more comfortable work environment.
**Job Description**
Requirement:
1. Develop strategies to improve manufacturing and reduce scrap, as well as perform line balancing.
2. Monitor Manufacturing Procedures and make changes as required.
3. Install new equipment or technology to improve efficiency.
4. Participate in continuous improvement and 5'S of the area.
5. Carry out the design, purchase and installation of equipment that helps improve efficiency or the
product.
6. Develop concepts and designs to bring innovative solutions to complex problems.
7. Work with External Engineering Companies preparing the specifications of the machinery for the
purchase of the equipment.
8. Assist in the analysis of production and product performance, identifying solutions that help improve
it, achieving cost reduction goals.
9. Responsible for completing specific tasks of the assigned project.
10. Participate in cross-functional teams to meet project objectives within assigned deadlines.
11. Support equipment calibrations by generating the required documentation.
12. Assist Engineers in collecting signatures on required documentation.
13. Train personnel in pilot or special validation runs.
14. May be required to work any shift.
15. The activities assigned by the supervisor.

General description of SAP Premium Engagements and TQM Purpose

A Technical Quality Manager (TQM) works for customers which have signed a Premium Engagement contract, such as SAP MaxAttention or SAP Active Attention. The aim of this role is to give customers a long term relationship with better access to SAP for topics related to solution operations, project success and adopting innovation in their SAP centric solutions. The TQM manages the selection and delivery services out of the SAP portfolio of proactive and reactive support services at the right point in time. The TQM also acts as a link to all relevant SAP departments and the SAP Partners for all phases of the customer lifecycle. The content of a Premium Engagement is defined in a contract. The exact scope is getting agreed during regular alignment meetings between the customer, Service and Support Lead or Engineering Architect, TQMs and the SAP Account team. The TQM needs to understand and has to work with several areas of a customer organization such a s Customer IT Department, Customer Business Departments and Customer Purchasing Department. The TQM must have a Basis background with deep understanding in Hybrid solutions and integrations (cloud and on premise), also knowledge in SAP Cloud Platform, IOT, ML, Big data is a must.

Career Level Summary : On career Level the TQM works typically on complex customer software solutions with one or few projects. He or she can work independently in this environment and takes the required steps to involve SAP Backoffice functions when needed. General description of SAP Premium Engagements and TQM Purpose

A Technical Quality Manager (TQM) works for customers which have signed a Premium Engagement contract, such as SAP MaxAttention or SAP Active Attention. The aim of this role is to give customers a long term relationship with better access to SAP for topics related to solution operations, project success and adopting innovation in their SAP centric solutions. The TQM manages the selection and delivery services out of the SAP portfolio of proactive and reactive support services at the right point in time. - Own TOM field operations and projects in the MX Sort Centers (SC) and Cross Dock (IXD)
- Own the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience for yard management activities in the region.
- Manage a group of TOM Area Managers within regional cluster.
- Drive a performance culture, instill ownership and create a high-performing team
- Launch the TOM function to cover new FCs and Sort Centers (SC) launches in MX
- Set and clarify requirements and expectations with the FCs and SCs Senior Operations Managers, negotiate when needed.
- Establish and own performance metrics and communicate them to TOM leadership
- Drive creation of safety and quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to meet and exceed the business plans.
- Analyzing transportation data to identify opportunities for improving network efficiency
- Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network.
- Work closely with the sites' support staff (People eXperience Technology (PXT), Finance, Facilities, Safety, Information Technology (IT) and Site leadership) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their sites
- Drive and rollout the tech initiatives for step changes in yard performances.

As part of the ATS Operations Review, you'll dive deep into tracking and analyzing: Safety Yard Events, Yard Capacity, Dwelling, Truck Utilization - these are the pulse points you'll monitor to ensure our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
But it's not just about the numbers. As a member of TOM team, you'll also focus on the bigger picture - identifying blockers, surfacing concerns, and exploring innovative solutions to enhance our transportation capabilities. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple sites, sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement. This broader regional perspective will not only sharpen your strategic thinking, but also open doors for professional development.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Travel up to 50% of the time
- 5+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Travel within Mexico in their specific region
- English and Spanish Fluent
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
