We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GCP Cloud Engineer Lead/Architect to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in microservices development, enterprise systems integration, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and GCP services, with a passion for automation, security, and performance optimization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead a team of software engineers to design and develop **Python-based microservices** using docker containerization for GKE deployment
+ Work with architects to create design, and document design, best practices, development guidelines etc
+ Collaborate with cross function team to understand functional and nonfunctional requirements
+ Develop a code for key architectural components and business requirement features
+ Work with DevOps and AWS Platform engineer to provision, configure and deploy workload to GCP using docker and GKE
+ Develop and maintain CI-CD pipelines to deploy workloads to various environments
+ Review team deliverable to ensure code follows design and development best practice
**Key Skills:**
+ **Python:** Strong experience in building microservices/REST API using Python using FastAPI, Flask, Django or similar
+ Knowledge of **Kubernetes (GCP GKE)** for container orchestration, deployment and debugging.
+ Experience with containerization technologies like **Docker**
+ Strong experience in **GCP services (** e.g. Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager, Cloud CDN, Cloud Armar, Cloud Function, Cloud Run, API Gateway, IAM)
+ Experience designing and integrating **SQL databases** like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server or similar

**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
