As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting solutions within the Blue Yonder WMS to support the successful implementation of the SwiftLOG project. You will ensure consistency, excellence, and quality across all deliverables.
**How you create impact**
+ Business Requirements Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis sessions with key stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements and objectives for the WMS solution.
+ Solution Design and Blueprinting: Develop comprehensive solution blueprints that define system components, workflows, and integration points, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
+ System Customization and Configuration: Contribute to the customization and configuration of the Blue Yonder WMS, including the development of custom modules and features tailored to client needs.
+ Data Integration Strategy: Design and implement robust data integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow between the WMS and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, TMS, CRM).
+ Advanced Reporting and Analytics: Create advanced reporting and analytics capabilities within the WMS to provide real-time visibility into warehouse operations and key performance indicators.
+ Change Management: Lead change management efforts by conducting impact assessments, developing transition plans, and ensuring smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
+ Quality Assurance and Testing: Define and implement quality assurance protocols, including automated, performance, and security testing, to ensure system reliability and stability.
+ Incident and Problem Management: Establish and manage processes for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues efficiently.
+ Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize WMS performance using data-driven insights to enhance system efficiency.
**What we would like you to bring**
+ Strong domain knowledge in warehouse management systems (WMS), particularly Blue Yonder.
+ Proven problem-solving skills with experience resolving complex technical and functional issues.
+ Experience managing technical solution delivery across the full project lifecycle.

+ Hands-on experience with Agile project management methodologies is preferred.

- Preferred 2 years of relevant industry experience (e.g. medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments Preferred

The Architect establishes and maintains enterprise and/or domain-level architecture through planning, design, execution, and operation. This includes developing and implementing the standards and practices necessary to realize and sustain the application technology stack in alignment with architectural plans. The Architect also provides expert consultation to inform both strategic and tactical technology decisions—covering areas such as web and app servers, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability of application clusters. The overarching goal is to cultivate a scalable, extensible, interoperable, and adaptable IT ecosystem that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

- Translate business requirements into system qualities that lead to repeatable and executable design strategies and patterns for tactical projects / initiatives in collaboration with project teams
- Identify and define the opportunities for integration, selecting the tools, specifying the shared data & code resources, defining the interfaces and data-flows, and monitoring the success of the integration for tactical projects / initiatives
- Develop, institute, and maintain the IT design methodology, development process methodology, technology standards, and best practices.
- Provide oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and practices through all aspects of planning, execution, and operation.
- Lead the evaluation of new technology targeted for possible integration into the existing IT environment.
- Develop, institute, and maintain the design and metadata repository for integrating all aspects of established architectural models.
- Survey external emerging developments, and evangelize new technologies, standards and methodologies.
- Provide expert guidance on tactical projects/initiatives
- Provide training, coaching and knowledge transfer to team members on more complex tasks
- General and administrative tasks
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Natural Sciences & Mathematics or a related discipline
- 10 years of experience in IT
- Preferred 2 years of experience demonstrably solid performance in an architect role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations
- Preferred 2 years of relevant industry experience (e.g. medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments
- Proficient in English
- ServiceNow certifications (ServiceNow Architect, ServiceNow Application Developer, Implementation Specialist)
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives and communicate to various levels of audience or to explain complex or technical matters in a manner suitable for non-technical audiences
- Recognized as an expert in own area within the organization
- Expert knowledge in at least one discipline (e.g. Analysis, Design, Development, QA/QC, etc.)
- Broad and deep technical knowledge – expertise in multiple aspects including hardware, software, applications, and systems engineering and QA/testing
- Expert in developing detailed architecture models, design, executable plans and documentation
- Expertise in conducting RFPs, vendor assessments, and contract reviews
- Knowledge of financial modeling and planning as it pertains to IT investment
- Knowledge of best practices related to IT governance, operations, and administration
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

SAP CPIT Business Infrastructure Operations is SAP's IT-infrastructure provider and is responsible for running SAP's backend technology including operations of state-of-the-art datacenters as well as client technology (end-user equipment) around the globe. Business Infrastructure Operations Americas is responsible for 24x7 operations of important and critical SAP systems and applications embedded in an international delivery approach.
As part of BSS team, the "Cloud Platform enablement" team is focusing on shared infrastructure services. Main locations of BSS are Germany, Mexico and India. Operations are focused on high available infrastructure landscapes (server cluster, operating systems with support of storage systems).
