We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Excellence Manager to lead and facilitate our continuous improvement initiatives. As a change agent, you will guide teams to implement lean processes and efficient value-added practices aligned with our high standards.
This role involves organizational functions and cross-functional interactions with various departments to support ongoing process improvement opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a unified approach to the continuous improvement process, focusing on delivering high-quality products and services through lean processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a unified approach to the continuous improvement process.
- Lead and facilitate teams to implement lean processes and efficient value-added practices.
- Work with various departments to identify and address process improvement opportunities.
- Implement industry best practices such as lean methodologies, including 5S, value stream mapping (VSM), Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field with 8 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of basic and advanced continuous improvement tools such as lean manufacturing, TQM, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, 5 Whys, control plans, root cause analysis, Poka Yoke, etc.
- Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to lead project teams across departments and/or cross-functional personnel located at various plants in North America.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred experience gained within a multi-plant manufacturing environment.
- Ability to facilitate with managers from multiple locations.
- Willing to travel.
- Bilingual.

- Support the Quality Management System, mapping and documenting the processes aligned with the process framework and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Identifies & evaluates potential risks and implement action plans.
- Conduct data review and other analysis to determine root causes of service performance in process business. Look for opportunities to automate processes. Based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs, recommends approaches or changes to streamline and integrate processes to improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications — Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems or Process Engineering, or related with 8 or more years of experience in a services environment.
- Intermediate /Advanced English Level (B2-C1),– Proficient in talking, writing & reading.
- Green Belt certification preferred.
- Knowledge and application of Lean- Six Sigma, Process Reengineering, Continuous Improvement Projects methodologies or similar.
- Experience in documenting business requirements and business process.
- Experience with process improvement & problem-solving skills to support all departments on Root Cause Analysis and Problem solving.
- Experience in applying change management methodologies to support the people side of change, including changes to business processes and systems.

This role will be supporting Core Quality Services; specifically, enterprise-wide expansion of the Case for Quality Voluntary Improvement Program (VIP). In this position, you will engage with the business to develop VIP strategy and lead global teams in the deployment of Medtronic-wide organizational improvements. You will have an opportunity to build business acumen through CMMI Appraiser certification and execution at participating sites. Finally, you will play a critical role in external advocacy work that will positively impact how work is done at Medtronic, while providing even more benefit to our patients!

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for management and oversight of Case for Quality Programs such as the Voluntary improvement Program (VIP). This role will engage global Quality, Ops & OU leadership in strategic planning for VIP and will partner with the program leadership team and site resources to execute deployment actions on schedule.
Responsible for using Operational Excellence tool sets (e.g., Lean-Sigma, PMO) to lead and execute enterprise-wide improvement projects while building the program infrastructure needed to support current VIP sites and incorporate CMMI best practice into the business.
Responsible for new site enrollment, onboarding training, CMMI Workshops, and Leadership training.
Responsible for developing strong partnerships across Medtronic, at all levels, to further establish VIP and meet defined program deliverables.
Responsible for engaging with and representing Medtronic on external working groups to design the future of VIP.
This role includes the need for strategic planning, global program/solution deployment, problem solving, relationship building with site resources and daily execution of standardized work and issue resolution for enrolled sites.

Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

- Supervisar y priorizar el backlog de procesos de compras (PR, PO, proveedores y catálogos), asegurando continuidad operativa y cumplimiento de SLAs.
- Garantizar el apego normativo y de control interno
- Liderar la gestión y calidad de bases de datos de compras (México & EU)
- Definir y dar seguimiento a KPIs estratégico
- Analizar procesos y liderar la gestión de cambios
- Diseñar e implementar soluciones innovadoras basadas en datos
- Gestionar y optimizar catálogos de productos y servicios
- Administrar contratos comerciales con proveedores
- Impulsar la adopción de herramientas tecnológicas y BI (Power BI, SQL, ERP)
- Licenciatura en Ingeniería Industrial, Administración o afín (Maestría deseable).
- 3 a 5 años de experiencia en:
- Procesos de compras y mejora continua.
- Análisis de datos con Power BI, SQL y Excel avanzado.
- Conocimiento en metodologías Lean, Six Sigma (certificación deseable).
