Requisitos 1 a 2 años de experiencia:
- Knowledge of scripting to automate IT processes would be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of networking technologies like subnetting, VLAN tagging and routing.
- Highly motivated to solve problems efficiently, fast troubleshooting and resolution skills. * * Ability to work well in an international team.
- Installation and Configuration: setting up Linux operating systems and standard IT tools on new servers.
- Keep Linux systems up to date to ensure security and efficiency (hardware and software). * Investigate / take action on support requests made by extended IT groups.
- Investigate / resolve alerts triggered by system monitoring.
- Participate in technical conference calls with local & remote IT staff.
- Utilize existing process and IT tools in place for (change management, IT alerts, etc.)

About the Company
As a Product Support Engineer at Incedo, you will serve as the first point of contact for our customers, resolving both pre-production and post-production technical issues within our cloud-based financial crime prevention platform. This role requires a strong technical foundation, problem-solving mindset, and customer-centric attitude to ensure that customer issues are addressed promptly and effectively. You’ll be expected to take full ownership of customer incidents, mitigate urgent problems, escalate appropriately to our engineering teams, and follow through until complete resolution. This position involves analyzing complex technical issues across Incedo products and their interaction with customers’ infrastructure. We are looking for professionals with experience across L1, L2, and L3 support levels—or with the technical capability to operate across these levels.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve product and infrastructure-related issues in a 24/7 environment, adhering to established SLA timelines.
- Manage customer communications effectively, including conference calls and status updates to stakeholders.
- Clearly document and communicate issue root causes, impacts, and resolution steps to internal and external stakeholders.
- Escalate critical issues to the appropriate engineering teams and coordinate resolution efforts across multiple tiers of support.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of support documentation, including the creation of internal knowledge base articles.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable engineering requirements and collaborate with Engineering and Customer Success teams to prioritize enhancements.
- Regularly interact with internal tools and bug-fixing processes using Shell scripting, SQL, and/or Python.
- After 6–9 months, participate in the on-call rotation for handling high-priority issues during weekends (approximately one weekend every three weeks), with additional compensation.
Qualifications
- Up to 3 years of experience in a technical support, product support, or engineering role.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication english skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional customer-facing documentation (e.g., Root Cause Analysis reports).
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong technical foundation, with a solid understanding of programming concepts (development experience is a plus, but not required).
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux systems.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles; experience with Java is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with development tools such as Git, IDEs, and related utilities.
- Experience with databases, particularly Cassandra and SQL.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, high-availability architectures, and web technologies (especially REST APIs).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

As an Engineering Manager at Canonical, your primary responsibility is to your team: helping them grow as engineers, do important and satisfying work, and have a great time while doing it. Technical leadership experience and a background in software engineering are necessary prerequisites for this role. You will be expected to lead, challenge, and develop strong engineers, positively influence the culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work with your team on strategy and execution.
Location: Working from home, worldwide. We have kernel teams and openings in every time zone and with the notable exception of Taipei, Taiwan, have no offices and therefore no pressure to work from an office.
The role entails
- Leading a distributed team of software engineers in your geographic region in distinct aspects of delivery of all Linux kernels for the Ubuntu Linux distribution
- Taking ownership of particular aspects of Ubuntu Linux which can include but not be limited to:

- Significant programming experience in C, with Python, Golang, or other like languages is also highly regarded
- Substantial experience with operating system kernel internals and concepts, Linux would be highly regarded but not essential
- Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of software engineers
- Ability to coordinate between multiple distinct teams of differing technical focus to achieve common goals
- Familiarity with version control practices, ideally with git
- Prior experience developing with software packaging formats, with direct Ubuntu/Debian/Snap experience being highly regarded
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long
- Demonstrated experience with kernel patching and debugging
- Strong grasp of device drivers, BSP's, and other low level system engineering
- Solid background in driving CI/CD and process automation initiatives
- Prior public involvement with an open source project
