We are currently seeking a Database Management Specialist to join our team in Guadalajara, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).
Position Summary :
The SQL Database Administration is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of applications. This is a "hands-on" position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities will include:
+ Manage SQL Server databases through multiple lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
+ Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
+ Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
+ Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
+ Ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
+ Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
+ Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
+ Proactively identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks.
+ Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
+ Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
+ Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
+ Participate in continuous process improvement.
+ Make recommendations for system architecture per Microsoft SQL Server best practices.
Position Requirement:
+ 5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience
+ Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
+ Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
+ Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
+ Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
+ Flexible, team player, "get-it-done" personality
+ Ability to organize and plan work independently
+ Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
+ Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
+ Experience managing SSRS (SQL Reporting), SSIS (SQL Integration Services)
+ Knowledge of code development at SQL level

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree
+ 2+ years of experience with at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
+ 2+ years of experience with at least one database system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
+ Interest in learning cloud technologies and database performance.
+ Good communication skills, willingness to present and collaborate.
+ Self-starter attitude with strong organizational skills and curiosity to learn.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
+ Ability to travel (up to 30-50%).
**Bonus Points (not required, but nice to have):**
+ Hands-on experience with **any** Cloud platform (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP).
+ Familiarity with container deployments or basic cloud-native concepts.
+ Exposure to analytics, data science, or reporting tools.

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Developer to join our efforts in building innovative risk management applications for international top-tier hedge funds. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and developing database systems to integrating market data providers and FIX connectivity.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience in database design, Microsoft T-SQL development, and end-user and server-side data processing techniques. They will also possess a good understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-performance database systems for risk management
- Collaborate with the team to integrate market data providers and FIX connectivity
