• Supervise QC personnel assigned to value streams, NDT inspectors, and certifying staff.
• Organize QC inspection resources to support the achievement of CSW on-time delivery and turn-around time goals.
• Oversee inspectors’ activities to ensure all inspections are performed in accordance with Engine Manual and Customer requirements.
• Coordinate and maintain inspection personnel competence, and the use and recall of inspection gages.
• Drive the recording, and handling of quality records in accordance with Quality System requirements, and monitor the correct transactions made by inspectors in ERP system (Syteline).
• Facilitate training to inspection personnel on new and updated Quality system documentation and Engineering approved data.
• Perform DAKOTA safety audits.
• Control of quality Control and FPI inspection tools.
• Certain other activities or responsibilities inherent to the position.

Requirements:

• B.S. Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in similar position. Experience in Aerospace industry preferred.
• Bilingual. Spanish and English (90% conversational and written).
• Knowledge: Computer skills using MS Office (Word and Excel), and familiar with transactions in ERP system.

Objective: Responsible for leading all quality inspection and control activities within the plant to ensure that aluminum blocks and processes meet internal standards and customer requirements. This role manages a team of inspectors and technicians, coordinates daily quality checks in production, and ensures effective containment, traceability, and communication of issues. The QC Head plays a critical role in protecting customers from defects and in supporting operations with fast response and robust control methods.

• Team & Daily Management: Lead, schedule, and develop QC inspectors and technicians across shifts, ensuring inspections, audits, and quality gates are properly executed with adequate staffing and training.
• Inspection & Control: Oversee dimensional, visual, and functional checks of aluminum blocks and processes, ensuring correct usage and calibration of measurement equipment, strict traceability, and effective management of nonconforming product.
• Problem Detection & Containment: React promptly to shop-floor nonconformities through containment and segregation, support root cause analysis and corrective actions, and ensure customer protection via robust verification and follow-up.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to control plans, work instructions, and inspection standards, while reporting quality performance, defect trends, and inspection results to leadership and providing data for audits.
• Continuous Improvement & Culture: Identify recurring defects, propose process improvements, and foster quality awareness by supporting training programs and promoting discipline among production teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in quality control or manufacturing, preferably in automotive.
• Strong knowledge in inspection processes, gauges, and measurement systems. Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, and APQP requirements.
• Technical Competences: Internal Auditor.
• Soft Competences: Leadership, Conflict Management, Communication, Negotiation, Decision making, Strategic Agility.
• Language: English (full bilingual proficiency).
