Position: Software Developer – Legacy Code Migration (.NET / Loanmaps Project)
Location: Mexico (Remote, with overlap to U.S. Mountain Time Zone)
Employment Type: Full-time Contractor
About the Role
Take Three Technologies is seeking a skilled Software Developer to support our migration initiative for Loanmaps, a core platform in our business. The role focuses exclusively on analyzing, understanding, and rewriting existing legacy code into modern, efficient, and stable code. You will work closely with our U.S.-based engineering leadership to ensure a smooth transition to our new architecture.
This is not a feature-creation role — your primary responsibility is code migration, refactoring, and optimization, ensuring that the next-generation Loanmaps platform is stable, performant, and future-ready.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and understand existing Loanmaps codebase (.NET Framework).
- Rewrite and migrate legacy code to .NET Core 8 or newer modern frameworks.
- Optimize code for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Document migration steps, dependencies, and technical decisions.
- Collaborate with architects, QA engineers, and project managers to align deliverables.
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure functional parity with the legacy system.
- Support troubleshooting and debugging during and after migration.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in C# and .NET Framework with proven migration to .NET Core/8.
- Solid understanding of software design principles and refactoring best practices.
- Experience with SQL Server or equivalent relational databases.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) is a plus.
Experience
- 3–6 years of professional software development.
- Direct experience migrating legacy applications into modern stacks.
- Background in financial software or enterprise systems is a plus.
Soft Skills

**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer with over 8 years of hands-on experience in software development, specializing in Java. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform, deep experience with distributed systems, and strong knowledge of cloud technologies. The candidate should be able to independently plan, design, and implement a cloud-native service end-to-end. Experience handling on-call operations is a plus.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
+ 8+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Java.
+ Hands-on experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform.

Job Overview
