**Location:** Monterrey (LATAM HQ), Mexico
**Role Purpose** **:** As a key member of the global technology leadership team, the Head of R&D and Product Development will architect and lead Clarios' strategic product development capability in Mexico. This executive role is accountable for transforming the regional footprint into a globally integrated innovation hub, delivering intelligent fail-safe energy systems. The role will oversee a rapidly scaling organization expected to exceed 100+ FTEs, spanning embedded systems, functional safety, systems engineering, and advanced testing.
**Strategic Responsibilities**
**Enterprise Leadership & Vision**
+ Define and execute a multi-phase strategy to build Mexico's product development center from testing-only to full-cycle innovation and design.
+ Serve as a key voice in global product strategy, influencing roadmap decisions, investment priorities, and technology platforms.
+ Represent Mexico's product development capabilities in global governance forums, ensuring alignment with CTO-level objectives and enterprise-wide innovation goals.
**Organizational Scale & Talent Strategy**
+ Lead organizational design, talent acquisition, and capability building across embedded software, functional safety, systems design, and predictive analytics.
+ Partner with HR and academic institutions (CLAUT, Tec de Monterrey, UANL) to create sustainable talent pipelines and co-innovation programs.
+ Build a high-performance culture that supports agile development, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous learning.
**Technology & Product Delivery**
+ Oversee ASPICE-compliant validation and AUTOSAR-based development for intelligent energy systems.
+ Drive functional safety architecture under ISO 26262, including ASIL decomposition and fail-operational design.
+ Champion virtual prototyping and predictive analytics (MIL/SIL/HIL), accelerating time-to-market and design quality.
+ Ensure seamless integration with global Tier-1 suppliers and internal labs, fostering knowledge transfer and feedback loops.
**Qualifications & Experience**
+ Advanced engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Systems, Mechatronics, or related).
+ 12+ years in product development, with 5+ years in executive leadership roles within automotive or energy systems.
+ Proven success in scaling technical organizations, leading global programs, and delivering complex embedded systems.
+ Expertise in ASPICE, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, FMEA/FMEDA, and predictive engineering analytics.
+ Strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and cross-cultural leadership capabilities.
+ Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

+ Develop customer product from first system concept through quote, prototyping, validation and towards a fully released product in mass production

**Qualifications**

**ACTIVIDADES PRINCIPALES:**
1. **Proveedores Nacionales:** Generar y administrar proveedores para gestionar una base sólida de suppliers

3. **Costeo y Rentabilidad:** Asegurar la rentabilidad de los productos mediante análisis de costos, construcción de precios y comparación con benchmarks de importación. Construcción de costos, cálculo de margen interno, fórmulas MSRP.
4. **Gestión de Proyectos:** Administrar el calendario de desarrollo por temporada, anticipando riesgos y asegurando entregas a tiempo. Optimizar los costos de desarrollo, incluyendo muestras, fletes y pruebas de calidad.
5. Análisis y Reportes: Monitorear y reportar indicadores clave como entregas, calidad, márgenes, tiempos de desarrollo y SKUs lanzados.
**REQUISITOS:**
**Experiencia:** +3 años como líder en desarrollo de producto, sourcing, manufactura textil o conocimiento de categorías como calzado, mezclilla, ropa interior, etc. Es indispensable el conocimiento en la industria textil.

**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. They are responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release; assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes; conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs; direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp. The R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams provide all required product documentation including, but not limited to, Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements. They create and modify detailed drawings and drafting or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches or notes and contribute to design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Typical fields of expertise include: materials, mechanics and systems, electrical, optics, chemistry, software, automation systems, packaging, testing and measurement, and manufacturing of electrical, mechanical and electronic components, products, and their integration into systems.
**What your background should look like:**
**EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in product development, preferably in the technology industry with a minimum of 5 years in the Cable Assembly or connector related.
- This highly technical position requires an individual who can work independently.
- Experience in product compliance certification ( Product, Safety, Environmental substance control)
- Experience in design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), design for cost (DFC), design for manufacturing (DFM).
- Capability and experience in presentation on products, solutions, and technologies.
- Previous experience in working in high-performing multi-disciplinary global engineering teams.
**EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
- Experience with product development processes, including design, prototyping, and testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with data center technology and connectors/cable assembly is a plus.
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge about various phases of product realization and product development
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art design tools such as 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), modeling, Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T), electrical & electronic design, and Simulation
- Knowledge of manufacturing process (machining, molding, stamping, plating, etc.)
- Knowledge of material (metal/plastic) properties will be a plus.
- Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 6sigma, DOE, 8D.) will be a plus.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new power connector and cable assembly solution products for data center applications.
- Provide leadership and manage the complete product development life cycle (starting from the voice of the customer, ideation, Design Conceptualization, Creation of product specifications, 3D design, Prototyping, Product testing, Product qualification, Project Execution & Sustenance till product end of life)
- Work closely with customer/sales/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer), and make engineering evaluation/proposal to the customer.
- Follow LEANPD Project Process to support the project team from the PDE perspective to complete the Project (NPI or Sustaining) on time, with quality, and within budget. Drive the development and release of products, scale-up through stage-gate reviews, ensuring milestone commitments are maintained.
- Develop and manage product documentation
- Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all TE technical, quality, and cost objectives.
- Work closely with suppliers to identify and qualify new components and technologies.
- Conduct thorough design verification and validation testing to ensure the product meets the required specifications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.

This role requires you to work in a shift pattern or non-standard work hours as required. This may include weekend work.
**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
+ Experience with computer networking and web technologies (e.g., HTTP, HTML, DNS, etc.) or system/network administrator level experience with Linux/Unix or Windows systems.
+ Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
+ Ability to communicate in Spanish and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ 2 years of experience in technical consulting on supporting large enterprise customers with high service-level agreement requirements.
+ Experience with the following: Web Tech, Systems Administration, Developer Operations, Networking.
+ Experience working in public cloud (e.g., GCP) services and infrastructure.
+ Experience with one or more of the following solutions: System virtualization, on-premise or hybrid cloud computing.
+ Experience with cloud computing and debugging complex workload issues across large-scale, multi-node environments.
+ Experience working with distributed systems, and familiarity with common solutions, design patterns, or best practices.

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will own important customer issues and manage customer issues, in addition to providing support (including level two support) to our other support teams. **Responsibilities**
+ Work as part of a team of engineers/consultants that globally ensure 24-hour customer support. This will include a need to sometimes work non-standard hours/shifts, and may include weekends as needed.
+ Manage the customers problem through effective diagnosis, resolution, or implementation of new investigation tools to increase productivity on Google Cloud Platform products.
+ Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
+ Work closely with multiple product and teams to improve the product, and interact with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to drive high-quality production; understand customer issues and advocate for their needs.
+ Develop an understanding of Google's product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, determining the root cause for customer reported issues, and building tools for faster diagnosis.

As an Operations Engineer for Amazon Fulfillment, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the design, development, and delivery of physical distribution systems around the globe. You are responsible for managing a technology or integration project, successfully delivering the solution to meet project goals. You may work directly with external equipment vendors, customers, or partners, and you have a solid understanding of the design approaches and industry technologies utilized in fulfillment and distribution center designs. Key job responsibilities
- Work independently with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver cross-functional projects that are of a high-quality (e.g., on-time, on-budget, maintainable, low-defects, etc.).
- Partner with project managers and external vendors to set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet a deadline.
- Influence technical documentation content, perform documentation review, dive deep into system layouts and solutions.
- Competently represent system and/or equipment designs to both customers and other teams.
- Communicate project status, effectively answer project questions in detail, and regularly produce clear and concise summaries for the projects you own to your leadership/management team.
- Excel at developing good working relationships with vendors, engineers, managers, and peers.
- Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors including equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout.
- Efficiently manage budget documents, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing.
- Build strong working relationships with FC/SC leadership and their operations teams across multiple sites as well as their Launch, Facilities, Finance, Safety, Process Engineers, and other business stakeholders.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams within a geographic node.
- Travel up to 50% domestically although travel intensity can be variable and consist of up to three weeks in a row, including weekends.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
- Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
- 3+ years of Project Management
- Excel Advanced
- Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
- Fluency in French, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu are considered desirable.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly creative Senior Product Design and Development Engineer to be the driving force behind bringing innovative foam products to market.

In this creative role, you will act as a key liaison between our manufacturing plants in Mexico and the Corporate Product Development team in the U.S., reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Development. The ideal candidate combines strong design sensibility, hands-on technical expertise, and collaborative leadership, ensuring that new products are both visually appealing and engineered for performance and manufacturability.

As a hands-on creator and problem solver, you will lead the end-to-end process of product development and commercialization. Your responsibilities will include concept design, product optimization, feasibility validation, prototyping, and sample creation, as well as design-for-manufacturability initiatives to ensure each product is fully qualified for market launch.


This position is based in Cuautitlán Mexico and requires frequent communication and travel to the R&D center located in the United States. Join us and play a key role in transforming ideas into market-ready


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the full commercial product development cycle — from initial concept and strategy through retail launch.
  • Translate consumer insights, competitive analysis, and user-centered design principles into innovative, market-ready retail foam product solutions.
  • Ensure products meet performance criteria, including visual design, functionality, cost, manufacturability, compliance, and development timelines.
  • Create design sketches, CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and comprehensive product specifications.
  • Hands-on development and evaluation of commercial prototypes to refine product function, feel, appearance, and packaging.
  • Shape and evolve the long-term retail product roadmap while staying agile in response to short-term market trends and consumer demands.
  • Ensure all retail products comply with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Support retail sales and marketing teams with customer samples and product information.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in product development, with experience in consumer goods, furniture and/or the bedding industry. Is a MUST
  • Strong understanding of aesthetics, form, proportions, and CMF (Color, Material, Finish).
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to cross-functional teams at all levels within the company, and to customers.
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator required).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent in English.
