The IT Economics team works very closely with business executives, various customers across industries, architects, technical sales, sales and business partners to analyze and evaluate the economic differences of IT solutions in client environments to support zStack revenue objectives. This pre-sales and direct sales support is focused on identifying areas for efficiencies and cost reductions, with a mission to position IBM solutions against competitive offerings.
This is an Americas-level position with the possibility for occasional world-wide travel. Travel is based on the candidate's ability, and the requirements of our customers, but should not exceed 25%.
**Your role and responsibilities**
Successful (Total Cost of Ownership) TCO and Business Value Assessments (BVA) require a deep understanding of different platforms, public cloud environments and associated software products. Custom client engagements cover a broad range of competitive solutions analyzed in comparison to IBM Z and IBM LinuxONE. These comparisons could be to IBM Power, IBM Storage, IBM Cloud, among other IBM infrastructure offerings, as well as compared to various hyperscalers, hyperconverged systems or other distributed systems. This work also includes aspects of data and analytics, encryption and security, and sustainability.
Each client engagement requires direct stakeholder interaction to identify scope, collect data, and agree on assumptions for the IT Economics analysis to be conducted. The results are presented to senior and technical client management. This work is done collaboratively with IBM client

THE SKILL SET:

- Make recommendations for process improvements
- Collaborate with team managers on a daily and weekly basis
- Monitor timecard submissions, escalating as needed
- Understand the various metrics and respective targets for your team (e.g. assignment SLA’s, resource planning, forecasting, etc) and begin driving adherence
- Maintain team morale and motivation, ensure a good work ethic and lead by example
- Continue to focus on your OKRs
- Analyze staffing trends and forecast to collaborate with leadership on hiring needs
- Help construct and maintain team skills matrix collaboratively with team managers
- Assist with creation and execution of the Consulting Services Department OKRs
- Ensure your team consistently meets or exceeds key performance targets (e.g., assignment SLAs, resource planning, forecasting), proactively identifying and resolving any roadblocks
- Continue to focus on your OKRs

**SRE - Site Reliability Engineer**
**Perform L1.5 activities such as monitoring, deployment, rollback. Monitor the efficiency of the Azure cloud systems to prevent outages and initiate an Incident Management bridge in case of an outage. Troubleshoot Azure resources, escalate to Level 3 (Software Development Team).**
**Understand the Microsoft Azure Cloud - ideally Azure Fundamentals certified OR Computer Science/Information Systems Management degree.**

We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).
Primary Responsibilities
. Monitor daily/weekly scheduled Informatica Cloud jobs for errors, failures, and performance bottlenecks.
. Identify and troubleshoot job failures, performing basic root cause analysis (RCA) before escalating.
. Ensure timely escalation of persistent issues to developers and data engineers.
. Analyze job run times and identify opportunities for performance tuning.
. Assist in data flow optimization by working with developers on mapping and parameter tuning.
. Monitor cloud resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage) to prevent performance degradation.
. Support scheduled maintenance activities, including system upgrades and patch management.
. Develop basic scripts or alerts to detect job failures proactively.
. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for job monitoring and issue resolution.
. Design, implement and test distributed systems for business workflows of CRM
. Integrate with various internal and external services platforms using industry standard protocols such as REST
. Program code by using various backend (not limited to Java, Spring, Guice) and database (not limited to MongoDB, DB2, Elastic Search) technologies
. Work as part of a team to hit delivery milestones and navigate blockers
. Be involved in all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC) including effort estimation, gathering of business requirements, design, development, reviewing, building, testing, and deployment of commercial scale software

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
. Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills
· Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Comfortable with multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team
. Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science or related technical discipline
. Hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), including Data Integration (CDI), Application Integration (CAI), and Cloud Mass Ingestion (CMI).
Knowledge of job scheduling, error handling, and performance tuning in Informatica Cloud.
· Familiarity with SQL, databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.), and cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage).
. Understanding of API integrations and REST/SOAP-based troubleshooting in Informatica Cloud.
. Experience with log analysis and debugging Informatica job errors.
. Experience with working in Linux environments
Preferred Qualifications
. Knowledge of DevOps processes, CI/CD for Informatica Cloud, for automation.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
Experience building scalable and distributed micro-services
Experience working with relational and no-SQL database systems
