PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position will be responsible for process improvement as well as new design and implementation throughout manufacturing. Manufacturing includes CNC machining, EDM, metal forming, as well as coating application and assembly. This position will have a strong leader capable to implement change and drive rapid improvement, delivering technical, statistical reports, support new products introduction, quality problems and efficient productivity; completely hands on position. The ideal candidate should be able to continuously identify opportunities beyond those already identified.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Determine and maintain process specifications for all manufacturing processes in the facility, inside a metal-mechanic environment.
  • Develop, evaluate and implement new manufacturing process.
  • Elaborate plans to improve efficiency and coordinate with quality to decrease defects.
  • Document the proper methods for operating machinery and processes according to standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and develop plans to implement it.
  • Provide response for quality and manufacturing issues that requires engineering expertise.
  • Design of tooling and fixtures to increase efficiency.

Experiencia y requisitos

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

  • Engineer degree with minimum 3 years of experience
  • High sense of urgency and be a self-starter, highly driven and solving problem

  • Able to handle multiple projects
  • Fluent English
  • Knowledge of ERP Software (like Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer / Shop Foreman will lead the coordination of shop floor operations while providing engineering support to optimize product assembly, testing, and documentation.   • Interpret and modify
    SolidWorks drawings based on redlines
    and feedback from engineering.
