The PLC engr uses an array of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical devices to accomplish this task. Controlling these devices and coordinating them with the flow of cases through the palletizer is the fundamental task of the palletizer controls engineer. + Learn the basics of case handling (how cases react as they flow through the palletizer).
+ Take a meaningful role in design and troubleshooting discussions with the mechanical engineers.

+ Write and implement PLC and HMI programs for palletizers. If a project includes a robot, the Palletizer Controls Engineer is also responsible for the robot program.
+ Test and commission palletizers and robot cells in our St. Louis shop and at customer sites.
+ Execute all projects tasks on schedule and within contract hours.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ B.S. in Engineering or have significant experience as a skilled electrician or electronics specialist.
+ Working knowledge of PCs, PLC hardware, PLC programming and data communication, pneumatics and electronics.
+ Significant mechanical aptitude
+ English proficiency

+ Willingness to travel

+ Participates in initial System Design Review in collaboration with engineering specialists
+ Using PLC software.
+ Prepares PLC programs integrating subroutines, programs and device's mapping.
+ Supports commissioning, design changes and provision of marks-up as-built project documentation.
+ Participates in PLC Code reviews and audits.
+ +5 years of experience
