The role…

To optimize supply chain operations by managing daily planning, warehouse and consignment inventories, and logistics for Weidmann. Support the transition to a value-added service provider through vendor-managed inventories, third-party product coordination, and warehouse development, ensuring alignment with strategic goals across all PBUs.

How you’ll make an impact…

• Utilizing customer forecast and/or MRP data, plan and maintain customer material inventory needs to ensure consistent supply to their warehouses.
• Execute purchase orders in SAP based on schedules to guarantee on-time deliveries.
• Manage customers’ material inventories, including consignment stock, to maintain optimal levels and meet objectives.
• Review and analyze Customer MRP’s to determine appropriate replenishment levels.
• Place orders with Weidmann sites and third-party vendors to maintain appropriate inventories.
• Coordinate the transportation of goods from Weidmann sites to third-party warehouses.
• Oversee the import/export of goods across North America, working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers as needed.
• Review and approve vendor invoices and work with Finance to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels by: analyzing and updating safety stock, monthly inventory reconciliations, develop and execute plans for aged inventory and support annual physical inventories at third-party warehouses, which may include travel
• Process invoices in SAP for shipped materials to ensure accurate and timely accounting.
• Act as the primary contact for consignment inventory customers, addressing needs, resolving issues, and coordinating material returns.
• Ensure accurate data entry in the materials module to generate essential reports and purchase orders.

Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive logistics strategies to drive business growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Launch Readiness : Ensure seamless operational readiness, alignment with internal logistics standards, and delivery of a high-efficiency launch.
• Material Flow Optimization : Design and deploy Minimal Material Handling (MMH) and Low-Cost Automation (LCA) solutions to improve supply chain performance.
• Documentation & Design : Maintain accurate CAD drawings and technical documentation, supporting cross-functional collaboration and efficient decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Foster effective partnerships with teams in packaging, ergonomics, production, and logistics to drive shared goals.
• Performance Monitoring : Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and key accountability indicators (KAIs) related to material flow and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Coordination : Serve as primary liaison between plant operations and support teams, ensuring open communication and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• Experience & Education : Minimum 10 years in internal logistics engineering or manufacturing project management, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Logistics, Industrial, Mechanical, or similar).
• Technical Skills : Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Access, and ideally familiar with ODCICS2 or similar systems. Strong expertise in warehouse design, space optimization, ergonomics, and automation technologies.
• Soft Skills : Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and cross-functional coordination capabilities. Excellent English communication skills (intermediate to advanced), with Spanish proficiency valued.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations, or Business Management
• 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics, with a focus on purchasing and inventory management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish is a plus
• SAP knowledge is a must
• Must be Fluent in English and Spanish
